Strong Official Statement from Don Yee (Brady's Agent)

Yee said a lot of the stuff when the suspension was annouced first including the notes he took in the meeting. hopefully now they will release some stuff istead of going on radio stations and just showing his disappointment which we all share.

Don Yee using my talking points in those last sentences.

Great statement by Yee. Unlike the NFL leaked so called bombshell reports of Brady destroying his cell phone almost 2 months AFTER the AFCCG ( ), it was short substantive and to the point. Unfortunately it will get little play or commentary in the national press. Certainly NOT the same kind of coverage the NFL "leaks" will.

Still the info will ULTIMATELY get out, and hopefully lead to the defamation suit that will necessary if Brady really is interested in clearing his name. He needs to do this win or lose because it will be the ONLY way to get on record the conspiracy of the Jet Cabal in the league offices and their puppet Irsay. The malicious releasing of false leaks over a long period of time, and have a real examination of the bad science that was the basis of the Welles report.

For example the fact that Welles clearly went hunting for testing service that would (for a price) give him the results he wanted (not the first time, BTW), and when he couldn't get it from Columbia kept searching. (thanks PBPF) The details of THAT critical part of the truth will NOT come out in the Federal court case that is upcoming. That case is going to be all about "the process" of the appeal, and while clearly its a winning position for Brady, ALL it will do is get our QB back for the start of the season. Very little will come out that will clear Brady and show the malicious and unjust behavior in the NFL league offices

10,000 messages / ~122 days = ~82 texts a day.

Seems like a messaging usage behavior that of a high school freshman girl.

Am I showing my age here? I just asked my 14 year old daughter and she texts about 40 times a day - all supervised of course

The 10,000 number may be texts both received and sent. So, your daughter and Tom may have that in common.

I dunna know....she can throw a football pretty far :p

I apologize to all the poor Patriots fans that in other threads are acting indignant and wondering "did Tom really, really do it?". I see that group as non-fans that are more concerned about their own image as a fan of the Patriots than they care about their team.

To them, I say hit the road, we don't need your self-centered, false righteous attitudes. I do not give a flying farg if Tom destroyed his phone just to avoid revealing information to the NFL. As a matter of fact, I hope he did do that because this isn't about Tom Brady, it's about a witch hunt, NOTHING else...end of story!

This!

I don't care about whether Brady did or didn't do anything. The severity of the punishment was nothing more than attempt by rival owners and their lickspittle to impose an extra level of handicapping on the Patriots. I will not be satisfied with anything less than a scorched earth approach to destroying Goodell and his NFL.

I want 16-0, I want a SB, I want a deflate gate dance after every TD. In fact, I want the Patriots to show a complete lack of respect to everyone else in the NFL save Patriot Nation. I want War!!! This is not about being level-headed or sensible. This is about whether you are with us or against us.

so am i correct in understanding that brady actually did turn over lots of texts to the nfl, but just didn't want to give them his whole phone?

I'm wondering...

If Yee/Kessler can go to Columbia (and maybe an open letter by the media) to ask if they were contacted and provided information to the league. Or, would there still be some type of confidentiality agreement even if the data wasn't used?

Another thing that should bother people, is the NFL leaking the phone being destroyed to the media shortly before making their announcement. This is another in a long series of leaks aimed at generating a groundswell of negativity towards Tom Brady. then, they can release their statement and ride the wave of hatred. It's calculated and malicious.

I think that the statements from Yee and the NFLPA were to be expected but reassuring that the battle isn't over and that the Brady camp is still ready to take the NFL to task.

The only thing I'm kind of hoping for is for Yee to clear up the "destroyed phone" part. That is a major term being thrown around and it will be the most damning thing the NFL "has" on Brady to this point if they don't have an explanation. I'd like a rebuttal for that specifically.

He turned over a list of the people he texted and the date of the texts. They told Wells that if they wanted more information, they could contact the people Brady texted. Wells said in his report that it would have been too hard for them to do that (pure BS).

There is a guy on this site who does the same type of stuff columbia or exponent would be hired to do. I don't remember his username but he would be the guy to ask on this.

It'd be more about seeing who the NFL tried to use to "get" their numbers. How many of them existed and what they found. If there was even one (or more) that ran counter to what was in the Wells report (i.e. exonerating Brady that no unnatural deflation occurred), then it would just be the nail in the coffin and we could just about lower Jetdell and NYminions 6 feet under (by public opinion).

75 of those daily texts are probably to Giselle and simply say "I love you"

That's what I would be doing, anyway.

I can text 40-50 times a day for work alone, more if it's a really bad day.

Too the lawyer peeps: Is there anything to the last statement?

This seems like a direct attack against Goodell and his handling of this particular matter. This is the exact language that is used to suspend players and fine teams. Maybe coincidence, maybe on purpose or maybe the end of Roger?

The Commissioner’s decision and discipline has no precedent in all of NFL history. His decision alters the competitive balance of the upcoming season. The decision is wrong and has no basis, and it diminishes the integrity of the game.

Had to requote, but i thought this was crucial. He's basically saying, goodell is trying to fix games so teams other than the Patriots have a better chance to win the Super Bowl.

He put it very delicately, but it must be said, it's game fixing, it's corruption at the highest level.

I think you mean, "RICO, says hello"

I'm not that guy, but a confidentiality agreement would generally continue beyond the completion of the work and would apply whether the work product was used or not used. There is also probably confidentiality agreements with the Pats equipment guys involved here which is probably why the have not made statements to TMZ

10,000 texts with 1 % questionable = 100 texts that could be misinterpreted or correctly interpreted. That's only 1%, everyone has 1 % of texts that could be embarrassing and detrimental.

For example:

1) my teammate is stoned! (that would buy that player a random drug test).

2) my wife is a (censored)!

3) my coach is a dope!

4) I cheated on my wife!

5) I saw him cheating on his wife/gf!

You'd have to be a total selfish moron to give up your phone and expose others to a biased person's scrutiny. There are no dead people here.

Finally, without the phone the NFL has nothing more they can add against Brady ( he was already questioned under oath). The NFL is now in a corner. The only thing they can do is to keep this out of court.

I want Tom to go nuclear publically with the same fire when we are down in the fourth.
Kraft doesn't deserve Brady when Tom met Kraft and Tom told Kraft I'm the best decision this organization has ever made Robert should of said and I'm the biggest coward you've ever met and I will not stand by you no matter how many Superhowls you bring and wealth you bring me.

Yeah, screw the careful plans of his lawyers. Let's have him angrily shoot his mouth off and let the chips fall where they may.
