Strong Official Statement from Don Yee (Brady's Agent)

IANAL, but I think it has been discussed that if the nfl and Wells went that route than it pretty much cements the fact he is not an independent investigator.

Awesome!! Not to nit-pick but Yee forgot the * next to integrity*.

As a lawyer pointed out this almost never happens; that's the whole purpose of discovery.

That's when the big reveal happens.

The NFL sees the names of the scientists first hired by Wells, and kept secret, on the list of potential witnesses provided in discovery.

Bricks are then shat in the NFL offices.

IANAL, but I think it has been discussed that if the nfl and Wells went that route than it pretty much cements the fact he is not an independent investigator.

I think the fact that the investigation was co-led by Jeff Pash already cemented that, but somehow that fact seems to have escaped the public discourse. If this helps bring that back to attention, all the better.

Seriously, for however bad Goodell's announcement may have made you feel, Yee's response should make you feel 10 times better. That part about Wells claiming attorney-client privilege... Whoo boy. There goes the "independent" part of the independent investigator.

I am guessing that TB's cell phone carrier provided a list of all 10,000 texts and calls. While the texts themselves were not recoverable, according to the carrier (in Goodell's ruling), such a comprehensive disclosure of communications at least makes damaging the phone less concerning.

10,000 messages / ~122 days = ~82 texts a day.

Seems like a messaging usage behavior that of a high school freshman girl.

Am I showing my age here? I just asked my 14 year old daughter and she texts about 40 times a day - all supervised of course

Yee: this ruling doesn't seem fair at all
Goodell: Wells is independent so it's fair
Yee: hey can I see this info please
Wells: sorry attorney-client privilege

There It Is! TB has no choice but to clear his name and rep. As we all know it was a Witch Hunt and NFL* wanted to make an example of TB, Pats from git'go. Judge, Jury & Ex. all stacked with anti-Pats and jets who couldn't beat'm on field but had to try it by ruining TB's image and hard work ethics with false reports (see Mort) for public opinion. This gonna be sweet when Goodell* has to hand Brady his 5th SB Win & 4th MVP or maybe more probably than not he will make Wells* do it.
Kraft spare me SB speech about how we're ALL ONE and make sure you wear your Pat's cheerleader Skirt with your owners sneakers and grow a pair! We're NOT All One, YOUR ALL 32.

I think that this is getting at the idea that Wells went to other scientists (at Columbia?), who told them something that he did not want to hear, and THEN he went to Exponent.

They should be able to sniff that out and really have a bang-up reveal in court.
This is exactly what I heard about the matter that they did not get what they wanted and ended up hiring the give you what you want to hear firm. NFL never wants to answer this question.

Yee's response doesn't mean a dam thing, an agent making a statement for his client, BFD. Now if he can make something stick in court then Ill gladly applaud him but so far he hasn't done squat but say some words. It looks great but doesn't mean much, and in the end it wont be about guilt or innocence it will be about a procedure.

Im pissed by this whole thing and I dont think Brady intentionally told anyone to do anything to football but so far at every turn Brady has lost and made to look like a lier so an upcoming court battle to me is very much 50/50. Just remember the court case wont be about guilt or science.

I apologize to all the poor Patriots fans that in other threads are acting indignant and wondering "did Tom really, really do it? OMG!!". I see that group as non-fans that are more concerned about their own image as a fan of the Patriots than they care about their team.

To them, I say hit the road, we don't need your self-centered, false righteous attitudes. I do not give a flying farg if Tom destroyed his phone just to avoid revealing information to the NFL. As a matter of fact, I hope he did do that because this isn't about Tom Brady, it's about a witch hunt, NOTHING else...end of story!

I text at least 100 times a day

I want Tom to go nuclear publically with the same fire when we are down in the fourth.
Kraft doesn't deserve Brady when Tom met Kraft and Tom told Kraft I'm the best decision this organization has ever made Robert should of said and I'm the biggest coward you've ever met and I will not stand by you no matter how many Superhowls you bring and wealth you bring me.

OK. I'm almost 44. I could easily be out of touch.

I text about 10 times a day but email and IM/IRC/Slack easily over 150-200 times a day.

Since TB12 isn't camped in front of a laptop or iPad all day I guess it's reasonable.

Depends on how you use it, really. That did jump out to me initially, but then I went into my phone and I counted up all the texts sent over certain days between me, my girlfriend, some group messages with college buddies, family, etc. If you're counting every message sent by anyone within a group conversation, then it's pretty easy to get up over 100 if there's something going on worth discussing.

Granted, 83 per day still seems like quite a bit to me (and I'm 30, so maybe not young but not ancient or anything), but who knows. Maybe Giselle texts a lot
