How I Feel - MERGED (by accident - Ian) Brady Suspension Upheld

'There is no court of law here, just common sense, you dont destroy a phone while your going through this, it reaks of quilt.

Again...the focus points are;

1. No proof the footballs were in violation of the rules
2. The NFL has never cared about football psi. The proof is their lack of punishment for violators

Tom Brady's honor is not going to be tried in court.

Or we could look at this your way...he's guilty. And even if he's guilty, so what? Should have been a fine....'cept it's TOM BRADY

It's frikkn football...get off you high horse.

Goodell:
"The conduct at issue here is also very different from the ball-warming incident in Minnesota last year, in which a Carolina Panthers ball attendant was observed warming a ball on the Vikings' sideline; there was no evidence of any intentional attempt to violate or circumvent the rules, no player involvement, and no effort to conceal the ball attendant's conduct. As Mr. Vincent testified, the ball never got into the game and the matter 'was addressed immediately.'" (emphasis Goodell's).
Huh. Well if true that changes the aspect of that incident.

The science proved that the balls were not tampered with, everything else is noise. Goodell was floundering for something to go after Brady with.

Brady better sue I want NFL exec phones subpoenaed.
Oh, the NFL exec phones that I guarantee you are also destroyed?

People are getting so upset over him destroying his phone saying it shows guilt. The fact is Brady DID NOT have to hand over his phone. The NFL had no legal right to it. The NFL asked him for it and he said no. It's over at that point.

The optics look bad, but he likely had no idea the Wells report would come to the conclusions it did. Or that Goodell would base a four game suspension entirely over this phone.

NFL: let me see your phone
Favre: no
NFL: $50k fine

NFL: let me see your phone
Brady: I actually destroyed my most recent one but here's an analysis I had done of the phone I used prior to that
NFL: 4 game suspension

The report specifically says that he didn't destroy his older phone when he upgraded in November. So why destroy this one, especially within a single day of the interview?

It's suspicious, don't be a moron.
The NFL has no idea when the phone was disposed of.

I don't think he is quilty at all.

NFL has filed to confirm the suspension in Manhattan. Has this ever happened?

None of us know what happened, but the science is not as clear cut as many here suggest, because the underlying facts are unclear. We don't know, for example, which gauge was used to originally measure the balls, we don't know what the initial measurements were, we don't know exactly when each ball was measured during the halftime break (with each passing minute making a marked change on the psi). The science is inconclusive. The other evidence is relevant. While not a slam dunk by any means, there are one or two texts that are tough to explain. Brady throwing away the phone makes it look worse.

Oh yes the science is very clear cut and has been proven multiple times and it is even more clear cut on how wells danced around it and used a firm that is notoriously known as a hired gun.

I can see a high profile person like Brady destroying his telephone and SIMM cards. If someone stole the phone, it could have something he doesn't want seen. But the timing is suspicious. I would love to hear Brady's side.

heh...the best part of this is we know are to the point that "Brady deliberately did it!!!" from Goodell...that is a jump up from the Wells "More probable than not" declaration.

You can jump off the Brady bandwagon if that is what makes you feel morally superior. Just stay off it.

The NFL just pre-emptively filed in NEW YORK federal court ,to have any case heard in THAT jurusdiction. Heh...yeah, they're not trying to fix this whole mess...no, Brady "definitely knew!!!!!"....

NFL is on fire here and the NFLPA / Kessler & Brady are sleeping.

Wow. He just described Matt Walsh taping on the sidelines to a T.

How does the nfl know when Brady actually destroyed the phone (if he did) ?I can't imagine he would tell them the date especially if it was right after the appeal.

It's really simple. Don't turn over the phone. That's well within his rights and can be justified by that. But don't effing destroy it like you needed to cover something up! What was he thinking?!
