How I Feel - MERGED (by accident - Ian) Brady Suspension Upheld

Huh? So which is out? I wish someone would just tell the truth! (Media I mean) brady has to speak up now.

Goodell's decision claims that:
(a) On March 6, Brady destroyed the phone he'd been using from November until then.
(b) Brady claims he routinely destroys his phone when he gets a new one.
(c) However, Brady's own team submitted a forensic report of the pre-November phone that they commissioned.
(d) Therefore, the pre-November phone was not destroyed when the November phone was purchased, contra Brady's claim to routinely destroy old phones.

Waiting to hear a lot more.

I can't believe he destroyed the phone intentionally as that would either be an amazing coincidence, an indication of his involvement, an indication that there was something unrelated on the phone that he was trying to hide or an attempt to protect someone else (the ultimate case of "taking one for the team").

I'm going to wait to hear his side of this.

I don't buy the cell phone bit...........if it was communicated on June 18th, it would have come out

the NFL's version of using the 'deflator' to describe weight loss

at some point Brady will have to say something........silence is golden until it starts killing you

All this over a team that cried about a ass whoopin

Something doesn’t make sense…. If Brady had something on his phone he didn’t want to show… - why destroy? They can’t subpoena the records anyways. You can just refuse to give it out. And even if you destroyed it for whatever reason (be it totally related or totally unrelated to the whole saga). Why tell them you destroyed your phone? Why not present them with your new phone? You think they’d know the difference? You think they’d ask you a receipt to see how old the phone is?

Something doesn't add up.

Because what else should he do with it? Sell it and take the chance that the data on it can be recovered and end up on TMZ and all over the internet? Do you think a guy that makes millions cares about a phone worth a few hundred bucks? I destroy my own used phones and hard drives. I recover lost data as part of my business, its trivial. I'm no body and most likely no one would ever take the time to recover my lost data. But TOM BRADY? I'd attempt to recover his used cell phone data if I had access too it? The data/photos would be worth a fortune if someone had access to him

From a security stand point he and any high profile celebrity is smart to do this (assuming they are destroying them beyond all repair).

And as for why he told them? Maybe because he's honest and doesn't feel the need to lie?

So this anti-Pats BS continues until BB and TFB retire. I am way sick of this sh!t. Every season it's something else. Even the murderer gets constant updates on the internets. Unbelievable.

I love how Well's seems to think he should be allowed to see all 10,000 of bradys text messages, instead of just looking at what he got from Mcnally and JJ. jesus ****ing christ what a loony situation the nfl found itself in.

And?

The NFL will not lose in court. This will NOT end well for Tom Brady.

But hopefully... all this drags beyond next season, where Brady gets his 5th ring in the biggest FU of all time!

Why do you sound like you're a Pats hater? Of course he'll win in court because the phone will be irrelevant in a court of law. As a Brady and Patriots fan, I have little concern about the opinions of Tom Brady outside New England. This entire framegate bs isn't about exonerating his honor, it's about punishing him for something that never happened...or there's no proof it happened.

Destroying his cell phone doesn't change the fact he's been screwed for what likely is a non-violation of the rules.

Regarding court, everyone and anyone has a right to destroy their phone. it's not like there will a jury trial...just a judge.

What's so hard to understand? They are saying that he did not destroy the previous phone he had before the one after it that he did destroy - - thus putting to bed his contention that he always destroys his old phones.

Sounds like it's lawsuit time.

Going to be an interesting NFL season, that's for sure.

Weird how the only texts that were recovered which referenced PSI stated TFB's preference for having it within the legal range, and Brady saying, "You didn't do anything wrong."

Wells was fishing. We already knew this.

Deadspin brought up a great point and said that with the amount of possible appeals, TFB could retire before ever serving the suspension.

I see it all as an envious compliment........

Brady is on to the courtroom

They destroy phones in criminal cases. Who knows. Maybe he had texts saying f-Goodell. Or anything about league BS with his dad. I dunno, why "destroy" it. Pretty dumb to use that phraseology anyways. Dispose is a better phrase.

Why does it matter if he destroyed his phone? He wasn't going to give them his phone anyway and they weren't going to get it, so why is this being portrayed as a heinous crime now? I mean, I get why this hurts in the court of public opinion, just not in the facts of the case.
Agree. For all we know he didn't and is saying that because he never intended to give it up in the first place. End of story.

Should be interesting to hear what the Brady camp has to say...

Because what else should he do with it? ?

yeh but you dont do it right after being investigated, thats just stupid. something aint right and im not so sure BK knew it.

page 4:

"Following the appeal hearing, Mr. Brady's representatives provided a letter from his cell phone carrier confirming that the text messages sent from or received by the destroyed cell phone could no longer be recovered"
