Stephen A Smith: Brady's suspension to be upheld, Brady destroyed cell phone

another angle is, why would the nfl engage in settlement talks if brady destroyed his phone? makes no sense

I'm surprised no one has come up with the idea that maybe Brady just, y'know, accidentally broke his phone in the last couple months? I mean he's posted videos of himself jumping off waterfalls and sh*t. We know a guy like Brady is regularly engaged in activities potentially hazardous to a thing made of glass and aluminum. It's no stretch of the imagination to think he may have just accidentally busted his fragile iPhone recently and had to buy a new one. Then when they asked about the phone at the appeal, Brady could've just said "oh yeah, I actually broke the screen on that recently while cliff-diving, had to buy a new one." Then the NFL holds this information and leaks it right before upholding the appeal, stating "Brady destroyed his phone". Technically true in this case, but the implication they are trying to make (that he destroyed it due to guilt) is nowhere near accurate.

I mean seriously, there's a reason there's so many "iDropped" repair shops and all that crap everywhere. These devices are fragile and people break them all the time. Brady is human just like the rest of us.
That's what I was thinking if there is any substance to his phone being broken in recent months. Then it could be stretched out into a grand lie.

But the rest of SAS's reports are absolutely ludicrousz

Throw enough darts on the board and you may hit a bullseye. So one of the 100,000 "scoops" may end up being true, but not this one.

Does anyone think that Brady's lawyer would actually allow him to destroy his cell phone?

I call BS. If it was “destroyed” post Wells report but pre appeal, we would have heard about it by now…

If it was “destroyed” post wells report, post- appeal, how would the NFL know???

Step 1: Discover Brady accidentally cracked his phone and replaced it recently
Step 2: Leak "Brady destroyed his phone" to controversial TV reporter
Step 3: Watch as public sentiment, which was beginning to support Brady, turns on him
Step 4: Announce the 4 game suspension is upheld
Step 5: Watch as no one opposes this since they all think he destroyed his phone and is therefore guilty
Step 6: Head to Metlife Stadium for the weekly circle-jerk at midfield
Step 7: Hold a "chalk talk" about integrity and leadership

He wouldn't need to destroy the phone to permanently wipe away data from it. This accusation is ridiculous

It doesn't matter what actually happened, of course. Leaking "Brady destroyed his phone" further poisons the well, prior to the announcement.

These people have no sense of shame. But we knew that.

I find it hard to believe if the Patriots were caught cheating and Belichick had nothing to do with it, he would be banned from the league. Steven A. Smith is a fountain of misinformation. Ignore the noise.

If you were Kraft, knowing the hate against PATs, would you take a chance by leaving
your Hall of Fame Coach's fate up to some court or appeal process?
If there is even a vague reference to banning BB why let legal beagles twist it to justify the
banning action?

I am hearing that SAS was once kicked out of the Miami Heat locker room because he was staring at the nipples of bare chested players and was literally salivating, BUT I dont know

I heard they called him "the pecker checker", but I don't know.

My only comment is no comment, this is just stupid.

Hold on..........something in here dosen't make any sense.

Metlife Stadium and Integrity are too close to each other.

What if Gronk spiked the phone and is now an accessory to the death of Tom's phone? He could get a 4 game suspension as well.

You, sir, underestimate the green slime that is the NYFL.

BREAKING: In light of what Stephen A. Smith just reported, Goodell has taken the Patriots 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 1st rounders and have suspended BB for those seasons. When Curran asked Goodell why he did this, Goodell's response was, "Go Jets!." You could see Kensil and Vincent break dancing in the background and Irsay sniffing coke off of Bisciotti's ass.

Are you kidding me??? If this were true, the MFL wold have had TB hanging from the rafters, long ago. BSPN just trying to drag Brady thru the mud once again. Stephen A, please. Yeah, another man of "integrity". If this isn't true, add to the defamation pile

It doesn't matter. The same things from yesterday still hold true: no way Brady ordered a ball boy to deflate footballs a miniscule amount in the bathroom. Did. Not. Happen.

Science. It's not called the ideal Gas LAW for no reason.
Yeah but only ideal gases obey that law. NFL gases are corrupt.

hell at this point in all of this ****, Brady should go to Atlantic City, go into a elevator and smash Giselle into the floor and throw her. His suspension would actually be reduced.
Just make sure there's no video. If it's on video, he would get indefinitely suspended. But if no video, no problem, 2 games.

Just heard Smith say the NFL* is looking forward to going to court and is very confident....that they will uphold the 4 games to send a message to the league that they are serious about teams following rules and that their goal was to keep the suspension at 4 games(that is a victory according to Smith no matter what happens in court). According to Smith its all about refusing to turn over phone records and the decision will come down in the next 24 to 48 hours.
