So glad WR Aaron Dropson ;) is not on that list...seems like he had good OTA and mini camp. If he ever puts it together he could be that young Stud WR we are looking for since Terry Glenn! Hope Easley's knees aren't shot I didn't like the pick but we have guys on the roster we could potentially be better than him. Didn't we draft like three DE/OLB hybrids last draft? Somebody's gotta stick!

I mean, in the immediate (Sept/Oct) sense of the term "needed," no. Not in my opinion.

We have Siliga, Ninkovich, Chandler Jones, Branch, and Chris Jones. They also went out and brought in Malcolm Brown as their #1 draft pick. If that wasn't enough already, they brought in Jabal Sheard as one of the top (day two) free agent signings at 5.5m per year AAV.

Would Easley likely have seen time over rookie Brown? Sure, but it's certainly not anything that is going to keep me up at night either, and it's possible that Brown benefits from more playing time earlier in the season.

I didn't disagree with your conclusions.

I don't see how Easley is not considered a concern at this point. I'm certainly trying not to overreact, but he was shut down late last season and had ample time to work and rehab while games were still being played. What's taking so long?

Ample? No. He should have sat out last season so he had a chance to fully recover but instead he was forced to play and the injury never fully healed. The usual NFL macho BS..

Fact is, the Patriots sat down Easley this week to let him know they’ll continue to be cautious with him as they build toward the regular season, according to a source. There is no known setback with either of Easley’s surgically repaired knees.
...
The goal is to have him right by the Sept. 10 opener against the Steelers.

Makes sense. Far more to lose than to gain by being aggressive in getting him on the field, and they know exactly when they want him ready to go.

Easley is apparently off PUP, along with Blount.

Well good, only took Blount a day to pass the conditioning run. I guess it's not the end of the world after all.

Ahhh yes, the resident expert has chimed in. He was "forced" to play? You were there in the meetings? You know that is what happened? How do you know this? Maybe he begged to play and was ok to play. Maybe the Doctor cleared him. you are either ok to play or not. There is no grey area.

And in case you weren't watching, they won the superbowl. I know that probably killed you because all you do here is complain about everything and never have anything nice to say about the team. But they did win. So I guess it all worked out.

I have an idea, why dont you take your negative, Debbie downer attitude someplace else. We are all tired of you projecting your failed life here.
