Have a hard time coming up with less than 55... harder than it seems.

Tarrell Brown is not listed as a choice..

I just fixed that - the team didn't even have him listed there yet so I forgot about him.

You cut 4 of 9 draft picks? Do you not think highly of our draft philosophy?

You cut 4 of 9 draft picks? Do you not think highly of our draft philosophy?

I expect that 100% of the first SEVEN players drafted to make the 53 man squad. That is SEVEN out of SEVEN. I think that all seven making it is to think HIGHLY of our draft philosophy.

=====
SIXTH ROUNDERS, SEVENTH ROUNDERS, 2015 UDFA's, 2014 UDFA's.
-------------
I include Gaffney and Morris.
===========
I add seven top draftees. I expect the 6th and 7th rounders to make the Practice Squad. Adding the nine above (the top draftees plus Gaffney and Morris) will improve our team and have this team CONTINUE to be the youngest in the NFL (or very close).
=====
I differ on 4 with Reiss, and on about the same with Steve. I had Roberts on the 53 until we signed Brown. He still could make it. I have always thought that the other three are serious long-shots for the 53, on Draft Day and now.

I have Chris Jones, Grissom, Wilson, Kline, Swanson and Tyms all fighting for 3 spots.

Tyms is making it atm for me as his ST work on punt coverage at the end of last year was very good which helps his case. Kline is a hard Cut for me as he is a guy with OL experience for us at LG.

Good job with this projection.

The only things I may disagree with would be the lack of a 9th OL (I'd have Kline, personally), and possibly the fact that a guy like Moore may not have room on the team (PS, maybe?) with the recent addition of the two rookie DEs.

One of the more interesting positional groupings to watch will be the DBs, as maybe McClain makes it, as well as Tavon Wilson? Who the hell knows? Not meaning to nitpick, just trying to start a conversation :)

Yeah, that's definitely where I was most uncertain. Ended up deciding between a final DL, a final OL, a final WR and a final CB. Only had room for two, went WR/DL. Could easily see it being Kline or an extra corner instead, or maybe a S. I'm thinking that drafting Richards signals that either Ebner or Wilson's time is up, but maybe not.

If they do go with one of those guys, I think the end-of-the-roster guys that are likely to go from my projection are Dobson or Moore.

Yeah, I'd agree that one of Wilson/Ebner may be on their way out the door. I don't know enough about the finer nuances of their ST positions, but I'd assume that Ebner would be a wedge player, while Wilson may be relied on for more speed in a gunner-like role? Perhaps they are both wedge players, which may be more likely? I wonder if that may come into play during cuts, or if it will simply be a head on, straight up battle to prove who is the better player both on ST/defense?

We'll finally get the real story on Aaron Dobson over the next month or so, as his battle with guys like Gibson, Boyce, and a 6th WR spot in general will be on display.

If Moore makes it, then I'd have to wonder if one of the back to back 4th round DE picks don't, which rarely happens to a draft pick in his first year. I just can't fit all three in any of my projections. Maybe Belichick sees it differently? I'd be more than happy to see one slide over to the PS. One would have to think that if he were high on Moore, he'd maybe have chosen a different player in the 4th round.

I would be very surprised if Flowers made it to the PS, since he was widely projected as a third round pick and played in the SEC. Someone would claim him, I think. I also think Flowers has the skills to potentially contribute in the DE rotation this year, so I'd think that he'll make the roster. Grissom is a lot more of a project though, wouldn't be shocked if the Pats tried to sneak him to the PS.

I really want Gray, Gaffney & Lewis to make it, but I fear that slow lil' Jimmy White & non-runner Cadet
will instead make it ahead of all 3 of them.
Develin was a tough cut, but maybe Bolden should be coached-up for more FB duties.
With the health status of Minitron & LaFell in question, I feel that 6 legit WRs are a necessity, not a luxury.
Mundine is my surprise UDFA to make the cut. He brings much-needed speed to the TE/FB position.
Of course, had Bill not foolishly waived Tim Mister Wright…
The 9 on the OL is a no-brainer, because the rest of them are useless trash.
Dom Easily(injured) to PUP, Alan Branch out-hustled by Antonio Johnson.
Dane Fletcher to PUP, Morris wins the backup ILB job.
I'm rooting for Swanson & Roberts to out-perform the awful Fletcher & McClain.
I listed Matt Wells as a SS to provide much-needed range at the position.
And the Ebner & Tavon Feckin Wilson experiments are over.
