colts and ravens owner leading the charge

Jerry Jones is a third owner according to Fox Sports Radio. I was listening in the car on my way home about a half hour ago. The guy that signed Greg Hardy has the balls to pressure Goodell into 4 games for Brady...really?

Of course Jones will be backing the idea to keep the suspension at 4 games, after all, it's his team who plays the Patriots in Brady's fourth game!

Either way, Jones is screwed, because at the absolute very least, Goodell will likely drop it to 3 games so that Brady could return after the bye week. Any way you look at it, Jones and the Cowboys are going to have to face Tom Brady, so he had better start preparing for that instead of whining to Goodell.

Now, if we can just get Biscotti and Irsay to say that they are aware they might not be able to prove this particular case, but the Patriots are guilty of SOMETHING.

Those two owners, plus a couple of friends in the NFL office decided to set up a sting on the Patriots. When it failed, they face no repercussions at all.

They should expect that if they even have the APPEARANCE of wrong doing on their own teams, the Patriots are going to demand harsh punishment. And, how can the league not comply?

Biscotti also didn't face any repercussions for being fully aware of what Ray Rice(I believe Ray Rice's story) did but decided to cover it up so he could make more money off of him. And just dump him as soon as he became a problem. Total scumbag owners just like the other 31 owners. So corrupt! I feel so angry and it sickens me as well!.

As Bill Belichick is not Robert Kraft, Ozzie Newsome is not Steve Biscotti..

Wonder if Irsay damaged the integrity of the much heralded "NFL Shield"???...

I just don't understand how it can even be ok for goddell to listen to rival teams owners suggestions for punishment. I would think if anything this should help Bradys case.
Which why it's so important for this to go to court. Get away from this power drunk, self serving, butt hurt boys club. TB should hit them back hard. And create a media frenzy about the unethical things the MFL does in the name of "integrity ".

Not at all, they did a wonderful job of keeping the dead mistress who died of an OD in his house hush hush. And it's not like she would have gotten the drugs from him anyways. Now, had he been found with large amounts of drugs he had no business being in the possession of I'm sure it would have been an entirely different story..........

Funny how Jerry Jones is another one of the owners trying to shaft Brady and the Pats. He was supposedly Kraft's best friend among the owners. When your friends crap all over you, you must truly be a laughing stock.I wonder how " the League is more important my team" philosophy working for Kraft and did find any converts LOL

Either way, once this gets in front of a judge, the judge is going to see that Goodell's employers were actively trying to persuade his decision. that completely blows any chance of any sane person seeing Goodell as a fair and neutral arbitrator for this case.

Brady should just go ahead and file now in federal court.

Kraft never tires of being used & abused by his "friends" in the 31 & league front office. I was critical of him in 2007 but foolishly figured he had learned a necessary lesson. We all misjudge and make mistakes. But our Bob has shown that he's a different breed. Alone in the Big Boys' Club, he comes back time and again to take pratfall after pratfall. Castigated and penalized for trivial (2007) and now nonexistent (2015) offenses, contrast him with owners caught heating footballs during a game, piping in crowd noise which directly impacts the game or owners publicly violating the tampering rules. Instead of incurring the typical loss of a pick and swapping picks with the offended team, the NY Jets simply paid a pocket change fine.

I would kill (put me in with Hernandez) to sit in the club drawing room where the other owners sipping fine single malt beverages talk about Bob Kraft behind his back with snickers and chuckles. In public, they'll say nice things about him personally should they need his assistance getting a new TV deal or CBA brokered.
They know how to use 'im and abuse 'im. Bob must get off on it. "Please sir, may I have another?"

Gee, I want to listen to a known drug abuser and an owner that looked the other way when his star running back used his fiancee as a punching bag.

Bisciotti: "The Patriots get away with MURDER!!!!"

(has a statue of a former player who got away with murder in front of the stadium)
(tried to cover up the domestic abuse committed by a former player)
(has a current domestic abuser as a leader of his team)
(his last name sounds like a ****ty cookie)
(looks like the offspring between a bridge troll and a piece of meatloaf)

As for Irsay, well...

Great picture! I think we should continuously post damaging and derogatory facts on the Colts, the Raven and the Jets just so opposing fans and any NFL people that may visit our board can have a peek in the mirror and see what hypocrates they are.

He would have gotten screwed if Ray Donovan hadn't stopped by......

I doubt it. Not with the Pillsbury dough boy being our owner.

Way this has been playin out, Goodell* & Goons* will be rep Brady in court and won't need Kessler. They just keep on sticking their Foot'BALLS in each other's mouths and eventually make it an open and shut case for a frame job as we always knew. Sal Pal pretty much is fair and sticks to real issues, something that has been missing with Mediots that would rather make up stories/headlines ( See Mort) to up one on comp.

If the other owners did lobby Goodell and I pray that they did, it will be his undoing. I have posted before, some may say ad nauseum how Goodell is NOT a lawyer and in this case being one would have allowed him to act smarter than the way he did.
Since Goodell is acting as a judge ( as well as jury and executioner but that's a different story)he is judged by the standards expected of a judge, one of which is impartiality. When parties who have a vested interest are allowed to have input, it destroys the "appearance of impartiality". Look at the canons of ethics of how the Federal courts views its judiciary.(links below)
While judges are reluctant to overturn decisions of neutral arbitrators , especially in collective bargaining agreement cases which would seem to work against Brady, they are loathe to support decisions where there is "manifest injustice".
My prediction is that is a term you will hear many times once Goodell issues his joke of a ruling. DeMaurice Smith in prior cases, most recently with Adrian Peterson has cited, " "a manifest injustice not only to this player but also to the process."
Only this time, the facts strongly support the injustice with the owner's input into the punishment.

Canon 2: A Judge Should Avoid Impropriety and the Appearance of Impropriety in all Activities

(A) Respect for Law. A judge should respect and comply with the law and should act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.

(B) Outside Influence. A judge should not allow family, social, political, financial, or other relationships to influence judicial conduct or judgment. A judge should neither lend the prestige of the judicial office to advance the private interests of the judge or others nor convey or permit others to convey the impression that they are in a special position to influence the judge. A judge should not testify voluntarily as a character witness.

COMMENTARY

Canon 2A. An appearance of impropriety occurs when reasonable minds, with knowledge of all the relevant circumstances disclosed by a reasonable inquiry, would conclude that the judge’s honesty, integrity, impartiality, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge is impaired.<<<<<<<<<

So basically, if the reports are true about the other owners trying to make Goodells mind up for him on this whole **** storm, it then makes him no longer impartial and then the court should rule that all of what has happened should be dismissed.

please god make this happen.

the rest of the "non impacting" owners then should ask for Goodells termination.

It seems, more and more, that this has reached a level
of conspiracy theory that only appears in movies. the only thing is, it actually seems to be happening and if that's t he case, then this story should be too big for someone in the media to "Not" want to take them down.

Heck, a little bit of investigative reporting could make the NFL want to bribe them into silence. So we need a crusader who will do it for reputation and the glory of taking down the NFL.

I think they are backed into a corner and the only way out is to squash this as soon as possible, which makes Goodells delay all that more interesting. Either that or he thinks he sits in the unassailable ivory tower because the NFL is allowed to control the media narrative. He may be able to do that now, but some day someone will break the story open.

His only immediate way out is to get Brady out of the way and go with 0 games. Otherwise, he loses control and that should make him very nervous (assuming he isn't so arrogant).

Why are you bashing Kraft for merely bending over and betraying his QB and fanbase when you would kill to achieve the same goal?
