Goodell is Going Down

Wow. The tide is starting to turn. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

As much as he should and deserves to, he won't. If he didn't for the whole rice situation, no way he would go down if he upholds Brady's suspension.

Don't worry to the rescue are the shield protectors, Rooney and Mara and Goodell's little buddy Kraft

Kraft & Goodell presser.jpg
"Roger and I just had a long talk. I have decided to accept punishment of losing the first- and fourth-round draft picks. Ever since I robbed the cradle for my beanpole bimbo Ricki, I've learned to enjoy humiliation -- both in public and behind closed doors."

Quote from the article:

"This is truly one of the dumbest scandals in sports history, a molehill the NFL turned into a mountain."

No Dan, it is more accurate to state "This is truly one of the dumbest scandals in sports history, a molehill the NFL and the media turned into a mountain.".

Don't exclude one of the most important parts of this story to deflect from you.

You can say the same thing about the Camera placement fiasco and how it was handled by Kraft. Zero learning curve on his part. I guess he is all about counting his money and chasing celebrities for his escort.

Dan Wetzel has been banging this drum for a while. And not many people seem to care. Goodell is not going anywhere.

goodell needs a distraction, BAD. he needs a "cardinals caught hacking the astros" type distraction. day one the news breaks, day 2 quietly releases announcement that the brady penalty is removed and the patriots penalties are put on hold till testing is done during season on balls in cold weather climates. day three drops the hammer on the team caught hacking the other team.

1179 comments disagree with you. People may not care but people in 345 Park Ave read this stuff.

Goodell will stay in power but his ruling is going down in flames.

This looks like it's just waiting to become a meme

If ever there was a guy who looked like he didn't know what the hell he was doing, this is him

There is NO WAY Tagliabue even lets this horse out of the barn. Goodell's NFL is completely out of control - owners and GMs are conspiring with NFL front office staff to "get" the Patriots for a deflation that never took place.

I can't see how Goodell could have botched this more - regardless of whether he's running a sting or whether his out of control NFL is running a really poorly run sting. He's completely destroyed the credibility and integrity of the NFL in my view. The owners themselves better wake up - they've got a lot riding on this because Goodell is an idiot

Lol I forgot all about the Cardinals hacking thing. What probably should have been literally investigated as a federal crime was just brushed over in a day. And meanwhile we have ball pressure filling the headlines.

Probably not

But he sure is leaving himself vulnerable - note the admission by Goodell that HE is not the one making the decision here. It's "We" are being very through and open etc

Yeah, apparently he's being open enough with jealous owners to give THEM say in this matter

Kessler will have a field day with this guy - but Goodell is too stupid to eject
