yeah
You mean like the Matthews hit on him first half of the NFC Championship game? More of those to come.

Exactly. These guys never last. On top of that he's not that good. Good. That's all.

Give him as much as he wants. Good for the pats.

Seriously. I think Wilson is a decent QB who's deficiencies are masked by having the best RB in the league to take pressure of off him. That being said he wants more than 21M? Seriously? Is he on crack? I know it doesn't mean much here, just figure it is interesting

Meh, I hope he holds out for $26M. Nothing good is going to come out of this no matter which way it goes. Either the team or Wilson is going to be unhappy and feel like they have been hosed by the other. If he gets his contract, it will impact that defense which the team is all in on and that can only be good news for the rest of his division and conference.

Yeah. Same goes for Mevis. Im glad he got his money. The jets are screwed.

Donkey kong in Miami
Mevis and shady in ny

Good for pats.

It's amazing how the Pats have been able to get so many guys to sign team friendly deals while the other teams keep shooting themselves in the foot.

I wonder if it was after Wilson's 4th step when God told him to demand more than 21 million.

well, I think that's kind of selective memory -- pats def do a better job of managing cap and not getting held hostage, but there's all kinds of guys they don't get to re-up, then everybody in here *****es about it.

remember branch? they made him a really great offer, but he wouldn't take it.
seymour supposedly got moved cuz he wasn't going to take an upcoming deal, and patsnation was outraged.
mankins supposedly wouldn't play ball, welker? talib? revis? law...samuel...
we just barely got mccourty, but that was a fat deal at the last minute.

I think what the pats get right, and do better than most, is they just don't sign bad deals, despite teh cost of maybe losing some players, and they usually lose those players on their own terms, so at least we generally get picks back to reload instead of just signing guys to big money and cutting them a year later.

plus, with the everpresent siphoning of our picks that's an approach we really need to take.

Would love to have kept all of those guys with the exception of Welker. I thought it was time for him to go. I think of it in terms of how well they do at keeping talent on friendly deals compared to the other teams. I think they do better than most. Most likely because more players want to play for BB and they are willing to take less to do it.

Wilson is not worth $22m but in the last 3 years he has been an outstanding QB.

If Avril doesn't get hurt and Carroll doesn't have a brain fart he's a 2 time SB winner.

We've played the if game for a long time. It's a fantasy and it's no guarantee they still would have won. Pats won fair and square and were the better team. Just how it goes.

...and if Rodney could have just slammed Tyree's head to the turf just a little harder an if Welker could have caught that ball.....

I agree with Arch. It's how many games you win period.

Caroll's brain fart happened because Wilson wasted 2 timeouts on the final drive. Plus that Kearse catch never should have happened. Man had we lost that game because of that catch AND had to deal with framegate....not sure I could have taken it. Easily worst off season ever.

That's fine. You see things differently than I do.

Sports are all about what ifs. Same logic applies to SB46...a 100% Gronk wins that game. WW catches the ball they win that game.

Im fine with playing in reality but hypothesizing over a variable change is reasonable to think about.
