The person responsible for the first superbowl appearance Kraft ran out of town and the people who are responsible for the other six appearances are the one he threw under the bus to appease Goodell in 2007 and the one he will stab in the back when it goes to court this year. There is a better chance of Kraft riding on a unicorn to rescue his escort from an ogre than him working to remove Goodell. Just go on believing what you want. Wrong as usual. I have followed the Pats since the AFL started when Billy Sullivan on a shoestring got he franchise hired Lou Saban as coach and filled the roster with Butch Songin as QB and a bunch of BC players and retreads. Yes I was around for all the lean years and the Steven Grogan years when Dreith stole the game and title from us and we got destroyed bythe Bears in the Superbowl. I was also aware of Kraft buying the team with his late wife's fortune inheriting Parcells and running him out of town over personnel decisions. Perhaps you forgot that Kraft chose the Bobby Grier/ Pete Carroll team over BB. when Parcells left and that if Leon Hess had not died with whom BB had an agreement, he likely would not have been available. Ever wonder how great the Pats would have been if BB coached the Jets and Kraft wound up with another Bobby Grier as a GM. I was a full supporter of Kraft until 2007 when he showed his true colors by abandoning BB in his efforts to appease Goodell as the reputation of the Pats was trashed with his complicity. Since then he has been an unittigated disaster in his slavish support of the POS which culminated in the pathetic surrender statement in which he stated that the League was more important than his team. I can only conclude that you agree with Kraft that the League is more important than the team. To the contrary I like most people posting are Pats fans first not Kraft and League fans. Unlike you I have no illusions on which side Kraft will be when it come to court and Brady better watch his back.
Kraft is only slightly more responsible for the Patriots' success than Goodell is for the NFL's.
