PFT: Brady ruling expected this week, litigation seen as inevitable

Ben Violin thinks the decision may come today or tomorrow.

Volin thought the same thing last week. I dunno what source he's going off of here, but IMO it's pretty clear that that source doesn't know much more than any of us do.

Sorry for the confusion. What follows is the verbatim comment from Pro Football Talk.

Sat next to John Clayton on a flight recently. He told me it’s known that Tom Brady has been cheating for the last 8 years with the footballs. I’m sure he’ll get off still.

I could sign up for PFT just to claim I have it on good authority that Peyton Manning spends his offseason murdering drifters for sport.

He's must be going off of the sources that say it will come today or tomorrow. That said Ben Violin says the decision will come today or tomorrow, or possibly the day after that if it doesn't come today.

And if it doesn't come the day after that then maybe the day after that or even the day after the day after that :D

His sources were saying "today or tomorrow" a week ago. They're just spitballing. And hey, if they keep saying "today or tomorrow" long enough, eventually they'll be right and claim it as some kind of victory.

No way?

He doesn't know. His Google searches are coming up empty.

In his world he forgets his mistakes and then only has to be right (once) to say, "I told you!".

8 days before TC and still no decision by the "Decider"...

A f...ing sham of epic proportions..

Why are some posters angry that this isn't resolved before training camp? TC is Tc regardless of the decision, no?

Let's not rush this. Its obvious that goodell is taking so long because he's carefully, meticulously reviewing everything that was discussed during the appeal to make sure that he makes a fair, just and unbiased decision that will protect the integrity of the NFL :D

It has everything to do with preparing for the season and when the status of Brady is not known it effects everything... if it effects Brady it effects the team.

If Brady's suspension is upheld then Garrapolo and Flynn will be cast more into the limelight...

Didn't let the distraction effect them for the Superbowl! And don't we all expect some form of action that will delay anything that may interupt the 2015 NE Patriots season?

Federal courts move slowly. You want time for a ruling on a temporary injunction, assuming that's the path taken by Brady and the NFLPA.

What Deus said, but also because we're talking about a miniscule drop in PSI of footballs--what amounts to gamesmanship if it happened, but almost certainly didn't happen based on actual data. We're talking about a non-event akin to the Vikings-Panthers game or the Chargers stickum towels but is now creeping into the 2015 season.

Distraction or no distraction, it's a complete joke that we still don't have a official ruling in late July, especially given the relative 'gravity' of the alleged (but not confirmed) offense.

Goodell was on record again saying there is no timetable for a decision, If there is no news this week I hope Brady's team files the injunction Monday 9am.

I honestly can't believe it but this giant farce continues to get more and more ridiculous.

Today Goodell said he wants to have a fair and open process. How is any of this open? If he is telling the truth then I expect him to release the transcripts he had recorder during the appeal. This is a joke. I always knew goodell was an idiot but I never thought he actually hated brady. I mean the only reason he is waiting this long is to punish brady and try and convince him to accept a suspension.
