But I do wonder if he ended up getting the extra two weeks vacation. Knowing his coach he might have had to settle for less. ;)

Yeah true but I just remember it airing around the same time as the KC debacle so it was sort of forgotten around these parts at the time

Google is our friend........

Agree with the sentiment that this will become a good deal over the life of the contract with the new PAT rules coming into effect. Poor kickers will become worse, and a bigger premium will be placed on truly elite kickers - i.e. Ghost. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being outside of the top 5 highest-paid kickers by 2017.

Great to have Gost back!!!! With all the close games we play, its nice to have the best kicker in the league or at least one of the top three on our side!!!!

Hopefully none this year. ;)

Great deal by the Patriots. As good as he is on FG's his ability to lock down return games is a big factor in field position battles every week. There isn't a kicker I would rather have.

Remember when we used to worry about our kicking game??? Gostkowski is automatic..

Many teams struggle with their kicking game, but BB in his wisdom focuses on all three phases and because of #5 a lot of pressure is taken off our Offense..

There is nothing to dislike about this signing..

He deserves it. So consistent. I wonder if he'll hold up like Adam V.

And now the Pats look to have drafted a special long snapper who has the potential to become the league's best.

Now add guys like Allen, Slatet, and Ebner....

Very nice position BB has left us in regarding special teams.

May soon seem like a bargain; I anticipate a shift in the kicker market after a season with the new PAT rules.

Agreed this will look like a bargain soon. Watch what other elite kickers get when their contracts are up.

Hard to believe that in 2015, AV will have spent the same number of years in Indy as he had in NE -10.

That's insane. And he really has shown no signs of slowing down either. Wow.

Adam V has found a fountain of youth think about who was on the Colts Mr Steroid himself Laron Landry.
No that's not right to suggest these things if he got his prescription anywhere I'd look no further than The Crackhead owner getting him his stuff.

It seems the AV parting worked for both teams. I think there was a ceiling to what they wre going to pay AV, because hi leg had got pretty weak, though never inaccurate. I doubt AV would have played 5 more years in new england weather, so good for him.

BB obviously pays for a kicker who is accurate and strong in the elements.

glad nobody on here is holding that miss against Arizona a few year ago against him. Gost is pretty awesome and im glad he is staying

Hes not a kickoff guy anymore but when you are that automatic and clutch, who cares?
