I will add I thought Jordan Devey played much better than Cannon last year...that alone should tell you. That said recent Draftees Tre Jackson and Shaq Mason along with *Cameron Flemming* *who played very good when healthy* are much better options than Turnsyle Cannon. Tre Jackson's negatives could be easily corrected with Coaching he could be a steal from this the past draft down the road. Shaq Mason is going to be avery good RG down he road. It will be interesting to see how Cannon looked this time around in TC he regressed alot last year.

I'm just excited for all of this competition at the guard position

"The New England Patriots have locked up their top reserve offensive lineman.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday night, via a source who has seen the deal, the team signed Marcus Cannon to a two-year contract extension worth up to $9 million. The offensive lineman scored a $3.2 million signing bonus....."

Don't listen to Belichick and Caserio.

Some poster named Patsfan2 knows better............:p

lol you act like the Pats had any shot at keeping Revis outside of picking up the option.

But then again that's your schtick. Hey did you know the Pats won the SB? Because it almost seems like you don't.

Or how about that terrible bust of a pick Jamie Collins. They better keep whatever drugs BB was on when he made the pick away from him this draft.

Hey, you can win a SB [EDIT: 4 Super Bowls] and still be a really, really, really, really bad GM... don'cha know?

While Cannon's play has been much better on the R side vs. the L, I don't know how you can assume how two rookies are definitely going to be better?

It's possible that you're thinking of Kline instead of Devey, because the general consensus from both fan and writer was that Devey sucked.

That extension is a complete, utter waste of precious cap space.
He could've been signed - easily - for the vet minimum.

Having TFB makes up for many, many bad GM decisions.

Having TFB makes up for many, many bad GM decisions.

And yet there are several other organizations with their own elite quarterback who have never even sniffed 6 Super Bowls in 15 years.

Belichick is human and makes mistakes.. perhaps many.

However, thinking you know more than him about any particular GM move or player you've never even met let alone not having a clue about the Big Picture..

Lets not forget that Belichick has GM'd the Patriots from a very unique position in the post salary cap era. No other GM in the history of the NFL has had to draft so far behind every other GM year in and year out.. going on 15 years now.
