Here's a counter-offer: vacate all penalties, public apologies to the Patriots and their fans for this fiasco, significant change in administration in the NFL offices (starting with Goodell), AND compensatory draft picks awarded to the Patriots for Goodell's overreaction to the camera placement issue in 2007.

Kraft announcing his retirement as team owner would be a nice bonus but I'd be willing to negotiate that.

There's a lot of speculation, but the two facts we know is the 12.5psi - 13.5psi rule was added in 1941 based on a recommendation Wilson printed on the box, and the Patriots hosted the game. Even if modern footballs are made differently and the ball pressure always changes in hot or cold outdoor games and the team is not allowed to adjust the air pressure, ignorance of the rule is no excuse.

But there is a solution to fixing this once and for all. Tom Brady needs to give up his privacy to the league, or lose millions of dollars. Then, there will never be questions about ball pressure again for another 75 years.
