I want to punch people who talk about "Brady's preference for deflated footballs" because of that 2011 interview about Gronk spikes. It's so friggin' slimy.

but but douchebag felger and other mediots were saying how Brady doesn't want to and won't take this to court

Dam! now we wont get to see Jimmy G strut his stuff in a regular season game. Might as well take what we can get for him now.:p;)

Seriously I think Goodhell need to wrap this up Today or no later than Tomorrow. TC is right around the corner and we dont need the distraction.

I think that the leverage is a potential defamation lawsuit against the NFL, based on the false information they deliberately leaked prior to the SB. A case like that, with a venue in Massachusetts, could result in a nine-figure judgment. It would be bye-bye, Roger if that happened. No way he wants to take that risk.

I don't think TB even needs to win the defamation case. Just a big headline that reads Brady sues the NFL for 100 Million would be priceless.
Remember defamation is hard to prove but just him going for it would be awesome.
Obviously this would be on top of any other court cases to challenge the actual ruling. In which winning does matter here.

Even he he doesn't win, the spectacle of discovery and having Goodell and his minions under oath on the witness stand would be priceless.

Brady can then indicate that any renumeration will go to the NFLPA to assist retired players.

When he wins I want Brady to simply say "ICE UP SON" TO Gödel.

Normally defamation cases are hard to prove because you normally don't have defendants stupid enough to send letters like Gardi did back in January about the 10.1 psi.

Brady will win easily.

I'm wondering when the owners will fire Goodell. How bad must a person be at his job before he gets fired. There people who do nothing at their job, those people are far and away better at their job than Roger Goodell. Goodell has completely tarnished the image of the NFL.

I am theorizing that the NFL, NFLPA and TB12 have been having back and forths since the hearing trying to keep this out of the courts and resolved quickly and efficiently.

NFL wants to suspend TB

NFLPA says NFW.

I'm assuming that the rumors of the NFL informing the NFLPA a deal that if the suspention was reduced, they could not sue are true and was rejected.

I'm assuming that discussions have broken down and the NFLPA is on the offensive now. NFL will counter and round-n-round we will go.

Yeah, this feels a lot like a negotiation tactic, or possibly a bluff. Could be a legitimate threat though, who knows.

judge doty in Minnesota would be interesting....does anyone know why Minnesota would have personal jurisdiction over the NFL and goodell?

edit: nevermind, he is listed in the CBA
