Rules are simple. Relatively low or no draft pick. Unsure to make team but has, or will make opportunity.

Overlooked veterans can be late bloomers. Video if possible.

Jimmy Jean 6'3" CB, S

Darryl Roberts, has all the measurables

Dion Lewis, already on my binky team for receiver and RB

Throw in Tavon Wilson, for the forgotten one who could contribute

With the 2nd pick of the 1st round, Shmessy picks Darius Fleming.........

Just another great patience move by Belichick claiming this guy who's first 3 years were derailed by ACL's.

He's big, talented and under the radar.

Interesting that you mention D Flemming. Last TC it was he and Butler that really stood out to me among the no name FA's that came into camp. Of course Flemming didn't have the kind of season Butler did, but the potential is clearly there,. and he will need it because the competition at LB in TC THIS season will be a lot better

He was not fully healthy on the ACL. He was put on the PS in September and then brought back to the roster after T-Giving and impressed on special teams.

I think we'll have a fully healthy Darius Fleming finally and I really would like to see what this kid can do full out. If for no other reason than to replace a Chris White who can only play special teams. I like a player who can provide depth in many ways.

I'm sure Roberts will be the obvious binky for many so I'll stay clear of that one to stick out if you will. Although I am very hopeful for Brown, Flowers and the oline picks of Jackson and Mason but they are too early for the binky selection.

I'll go with Matt Wells. I think he will contribute to special teams immediately and be a huge bonus in passing downs later on down the road. Hopefully by seasons end. From all I've read from his coaches his instincts are great and he has the speed to hang with almost all of the position players out there. Im hoping all the rave reviews of his coverage skills come to fruition.

What stood out to me was his speed and acceleration. It was noticeably better than his peers.

But speed and acceleration are just part of being a good player. Beyond the physical skills you need to be a football player. Someone with an understand of how the game is to be played, good instincts, and the discipline to focus and "do his job"

Roberts is mine and seems to be the dark horse for many. Marshall is just down the road, so I get to see a good many games. He will be a good player and possibility a starter in the future. He will rely on his athleticism as a crutch to start his career, but this coaching staff will work him into the system and have a true diamond in the rough. I think he is a starter to begin the 2016 season.

Roberts is mine.

He has a good chance at sticking as the 5th CB, even if he is likely to be inactive every week.

Roberts is also mine, but it's a rather popular pick.

I'll go with Geneo Grissom. A lot of people aren't a fan of this pick but the guy interests me. I don't know what he is exactly. I just want to see where Bill decides to line this guy up.

Roberts, Fleming, Gaffney.

I'm going to take a broad interpretation of the guidelines for inclusion, and apply it to the CB position, for a trio of blinkies.

My #1 binky is an undrafted free agent from a small college, entering his second year in the league. He may not be on the roster bubble after his Lombardi clinching INT, but there is plenty of uncertainty about what role Malcolm Butler will play this year. Maybe I'm an unrealistic optimist, I'm looking for him to make an unprecedented second year leap and turn into the second coming of Darrell Revis, as the #1 CB on the remade defensive backfield.

The other two are the overlooked, or bounce back, veterans. Especially Bradley Fletcher, who was run out of Philadelphia ahead of a parade of torches and pitchforks chasing him off the field. In a scheme that doesn't put him on an island with opponents like Dez Bryant his confidence and performance should rebound. Ditto for Robert McClain, I don't expect any receiver to make three scoring catches in one game against the Patriots let alone against one CB. These two will step up to a level of play that's much better than expected, and with Butler will give the Patriots a secondary much closer to last year's than anyone expects.

Note that the two vets are both on one year deals. They're here to give the new rookies a chance to grow into the job. Hopefully they grow better than Dennard did.

I'm not sure if Brian Tyms falls into your guidelines but I am interested to see what kind of threat he will turn into. He has size, speed and toughness. Besides Roberts and Butler he is the player I am most interested in seeing making the next step this season.

BTW, for anyone who says the 1st preseason game is a meaningless waste of time.........

Jonas Gray (9 rushes) , Brian Tyms (5 rec 116 yards) and Malcolm Butler (7 tackles, 2 passes defensed) all made names for themselves Meanwhile, big offseason signing James Anderson showed that he was too slow and not going to make it.

Garropolo also showed that he had something (after weeks of reports that he couldn't do squat in practice) was worth the 2nd round pick.

Roberts is my "go with the crowd" binky but something about AJ Derby....I know he has had only one year at TE but with Davis and Wright both gone and Gronk and Chandler the only shoo-ins to make the team, Derby could make the team if Hoo-man gets hurt or the team decides they want to move on. Ultimately I think AJ is destined for the PQ.

It sounds like Zach Moore has added significant weight this offseason, such that he's more in play for an interior roster spot than on the edge. If it comes down to Moore vs Chris Jones for the #5 DT spot, I'd love to see the higher ceiling player win out.

My binky got cut already - CB Chimdi Chekwa.

My new binky is RB Travaris Cadet out of Appalachian State. He could be the next Shane Vereen, but I'm sure I jinxed him.

When he's not boning up on the Ideal Gas Law, I'm sure Belichick lurks here and waits to see who my binky is, and then cuts him.

Not sure if Shaq Mason qualifies as he was a mid-rounder, but I'd love to see him maul DTs and hit the second level on zone blocking.

Alternately, it'd be cool to see Derby beat someone like Hoo-man out, but I really don't see it happening.

Mason .....

and Butler playing like a #1 CB.

James Morris, linebacker. Had a good shot at making team last year until he got injured.
