How would we feel if Brady accepts reduced penalty?

Not going to happen. Brady is Brady, Kraft is Goodell's lap dog.

I would be surprised, and not happy. I'm confident that Brady's willing to take this all the way. If not, that will be a shame.

Brady comes from an entirely different place than Kraft over this.

I will probably be chastised over this, but, I honestly feel that Kraft really had no choice, no real recourse, and he told you that in his press conference. I believe he was basically told that as soon as he walked off the plane. What good what it have done for him to go Al Davis? He can't do it anyway, even if he wanted too.....isn't that written in the bylaws?

He looked like a beaten dog at that presser - he asked us to believe him. Most in here chose otherwise and so be it.

Brady on the other hand should certainly fight this and in spite of the fact it is not good for the owners and not good for karat if he does fight it - I believe Kraft will support him 100%, behind the scenes.

If Brady does not fight it, I will also feel as disappointed and harbor the same doubts as to the feeling that he did something.

Kraft didn't say that he had no choice. He said that it was for the good of the league and the unity of the 32 that he don't do anything to disrupt it. That was him spitting in the face of all us Patriots fans who rightfully dont give a f.uck about the unity of this piece of s.hit corrupt league.

I can't sit here and excuse Kraft for allowing the league to run roughshod over the Pats while he fiddles. It never mattered if he won or lost. It mattered that he tried. It mattered that he spoke up and continued to speak up. Unfortunately, Kraft decided for the good of the league, he would close his mouth, cover his ears and pretend everything was over! AND d%#*!@t IT WASN'T OVER BOB! You left your best player out on a limb.
And if Brady suddenly decides enough is enough and accepts Goodell's punishment. I will be disappointed in Brady, but I will hold it against Kraft!

If I were innocent, I would fight it to the end. He has nothing more to prove and no obligation to yield for the good of the team regardless of the schedule.

I'm realistic in my belief that he could have done something but if he strung everyone along with his declaration of innocence and then silence, only to accepted a reduced penalty, I would feel like he had something to hide and I would lose a lot of respect for him as a person due to not coming clean.

Deflated I mean defeated.

Yup....read it again.............

“The heart and soul of the strength of the NFL [is] that it’s a partnership of 32 teams, and what’s become very clear over those two decades [since I’ve owned the Patriots is] that at no time should the agenda of one team outweight the collective good of the full 32,” Kraft said.

Too bad the other 31 don't ascribe to these feelings.

Kraft did not even show full support for Brady during his appeal hearing with Goodell. Instead of appearing in person to back Brady ... he sent a note.....

That is pathetic.................

The bottom line is that if he accepts any suspension it will be the equivalent of saying he cheated. I think Goodell will reduce the suspension to two games and the gutless putz will try to convince to take it for the team but I don't think Brady will capitulate.

If he accepted anything other than 0 games, its because his legal team feels that there is 0% chance that he would get this into a federal court and win... but I'd be flat out SHOCKED if that were the case.

50k for refusing to hand over his phone? sure

anything more? slap in the face to his fans. How is he going to look his kids in the eye and tell them with a straight face "i didn't cheat" when he accepts any sort of suspension or fine outside of historical benchmarks. Either a.) he cheated or b.) hes setting an example to his kids and all young fans that if someone bigger then you pushed you down, you don't do anything about it, just accept it and pout

I think Kraft is a cowardly piece of crap, but the issue of not being there for the sham appeal proceedings doesn't really move the needle one way or another for me. I'd imagine that his trip to Israel with millionaires and billionaires, probably with his bimbo along for the ride, was planned out in detail long before Kensil, Grigson, Vincent, and Pash hatched their little gotcha scheme.

I will be pissed off if Brady accepts it. I'll bet his lawyers will be also if he just suddenly drops everything and walks away from the fight. This will then set a new precedent for the NFLPA as I still think they are using this case as a grounds for future cases. If Brady walks away, the NFLPA will also loose.

I think it is difficult for any of us to assume what Brady will do with any degree of certainty, unless you hang with him daily. I don't think any of us really know him well enough to think we "know" what he will do.

If I'm the NFLPA, I fight any fine on the phone, too.

That was for a fishing expedition. What if they asked for his laptop? What if they asked for his bank records? They have to have a reasonable expectation of incriminating evidence on the phone. I don't think they did.

I can stomach Brady taking one game if the NFL makes it clear it's for the non cooperation issue and he is explicitly cleared of cheating.
This is what I was going to say. My dream is for it to be reduced to 2, which Brady accepts—but then sues anyway... because I want nothing more than for the sham NFL to be exposed for what it is.

I think he was sending a message.
Not only did he arrive home in time to attend, but he also refused to testify by phone.
Kraft has shown an unwavering lack of support for Brady ever since his cave in.

If you look at Kraft's actions, you could easily conclude Kraft seriously doubts Brady's innocence. That may be the message he is trying to send, possibly so that fans lighten up on him after the vitriol at him from the cave in.

No mention of Brady in the cave in speech.
Saying he hopes 'all players that deserve to play' are there opening night when asked if he thought Brady would.
Refusing to be a character witness, even by phone.

Kraft would bail on Brady in a heartbeat if he felt it help him with the other 31/

...oh, and he should be allowed to serve that hypothetical 1 or 2 game suspension during the preseason...

That makes no sense. Brady can't accept and sue. The only way he accepts is by not suing.
This isn't something where the sides need to agree to a result.
Goodell gives it out, Brady doesn't get to agree or not, he gets to continue on to court if he doesn't like it.
