I, as a fellow old coot, agree. But if the sound is up at least it was ignorable instead of hurting my ears. Sadly that is the standard for us "get off my lawn" people.

Funny. I've been a musician since my teens. Spent a lifetime following all genres and styles. Still play an hour at least a day...but yeah, halftime?...turned to CNN foir some news, took a squirt, washed up...re-iced the sofa cooler, pulled the apps out of the oven and replenished the shrimp...switched back to the live halftime in time for the kickoff. I'm a music fan...and I'm a football fan. Don't really give a shyt about being a halftine music fan...I'd rather see trained chimps hanging from the goalposts playing bongos and pitching Red Rose Tea.

When she rode in on the lion, the joke in the stadium was that was the only way a Lion would make it to the Super Bowl. A little too loud for my taste as I prefer rock n roll as an old guy but it was impressive how fast they got the set constructed and how fast they broke it down.

During the half time I put on and episode of Breaking Bad. I work in a store all day listening to today's garbage. To tell the truth I've never liked top 40, most of the great memorable and great music from the 70's and 80's were not top 40.

On that point I wasn't aware that the puppies were rescues available for adoption. One of my coworkers adopted one.

Same. After the U2 show, I knew nothing could possibly top it, so I just stopped watching them. They also mostly suck, so it's easy to avoid.

Part of the fun is watching a renowned band look pathetic in front of a national audience. Some of you people just don't know what your missing. Black Eyed Peas anyone? Simply classic watching them fail meltdown style in their Tron themed costumes. Oh and their real unedited voices sounded simply horrible making my shower sessions sound almost bearable.
