@PatsFanInVa Thanks for all the questions and feedback. I will definitely try to share my ideas.

Your memes are absolutely ridiculous lol, but while I appreciate your creativity, I would ask that you refrain from putting our group's name on anything that would detract from our "professionalism" It's not that I don't find those memes amusing, but I want us to appear as a credible online community - so that people take our name seriously, and respond to our message....which is to get to the truth behind #TheBigLie

Now if you'd like to promote our hashtag, #TheBigLie, go right ahead. And feel free to use any image that underscores the NFL's pattern of lying to the public. And while doing that, I would try avoiding meme pics that have been over-used or over-done.... ya know, just so that we stand out more as a group.

Thanks for your sense of humor ;)

Chiuba its your group... How is the Twitter traffic though? I seriously don't tweeter, don't MyFace - just trying to think through how to get to the goal

Well it's not supposed to be my group (even if it secretly is :p) It's our group ;) just make sure to protect the brand of our name

In terms of twitter and facebook, I think at this point we're trying to focus our message around #TheBigLie - which is our way of taking the fight directly to the NFL, and exposing the pattern of misinformation, distortions, and misreporting that led to DeflateGate nearly derailing the Super Bowl.

It's not so much that we're trying to "Free" or "Exonerate" Brady or even debunk Wells' faulty report (plenty of people are doing that already) -- we want to bring people's attention back to where this all began, and try to determine how much of "DeflateGate" was actually based on lies and fabricated evidence. If that's the case, and if the NFL really did have a hand in starting this, then the ramifications would be HUGE, and would place the blame directly onto Roger Goodell and the NFL Head Office.

I hear you on your focus :)

Let me percolate on that for a bit... the "IF" language worries me, b/c I am allergic to tinfoil hat stuff (i.e., anything positing conspiracy without real proof... although a couple of those memes did it with some humor which is a little different).

I'll re-read some of your FB stuff and come back to you in private - if you have a change of heart, or if you guys want to use any of those memes with #TheBigLie, go ahead and replace the text at the meme generator site.

If your goal is to put public and political pressure on Goodell, you are going to need at least some moderate support from non Patriot fans. Chiuba's "please let me show you why we are upset" method is one that could achieve that. It is not in your face, it is not filled with F bombs and it does not come across as some kind of crazed tyrannical lunatic. If Nate K's methods were successful enough to garner any kind of media attention his facebook page would instantly turned into bulletin board fodder for any media outlet to use as a tool to ruin his credibility. I can't imagine a politician or scientist taking a look at that facebook page and thinking, "yeah I'm putting my name behind that guy". I do wish him the best and hope he's successful but I just can't see that method working.
Exactly, that's the thing we are doing this group trying to get National attention. You hit the nail on the head by saying nobody with power is going to back it. He has a lot of follower but you need someone with a big voice to back it. The way people talk on it there is no way someone with a big voice will back it.

Message to the moderators: Under normal circumstances, I would have contacted you guys and request a thread change. But since you guys aren't around right now, I'm gonna go ahead and post this thread...and you can decide later whether you want to merge it or not.

On Monday, within hours of releasing our presentation on Twitter and Facebook, I hastily put together an email and sent it to as many journalists, sports editors, and columnists I could find. And guess what?No one single person wrote back . By now, anyone who's glanced at our petition has probably either forgotten about it or put it aside for later. And it's not because what we’re doing isn’t interesting (trust me, it i!)….It’s that we need to promote ourselves as a “story” worth covering. A good friend of mine on Facebook explained it well: "If I am at a T.V or Radio Or News Paper company, I need to decide why I am going to use your information over someone else's and how it benefits me to present it to my readers, listeners, and viewers”

Because our ultimate goal is to involve the public (specifically our elected officials) our group is going to have to rely a lot on press coverage. I can’t stress this enough…getting exposure for our group is extremely important. It’s the only way we can go viral and attract larger numbers of people to sign our petition. DeflateGate is already a hot-button topic; it’s emotionally charged and polarizing, and my guess is, there are tens of thousands of embittered Patriots fans who would gladly become our supporters, if they knew about us. We just need to use the media to get to them, while keeping the media interested in us.

So how are we going to start this? …by creating a media kit. A media kit is basically a presenting yourself professionally, and telling people what your mission/service/product is, and what makes it unique.

Investopedia.com: "A media kit is a promotional public relations tool that can serve several functions, including promoting the launch of a new company, promoting the launch of a new product or service by an existing company, giving a company a way to present itself as it would like to be seen, and saving time by eliminating the need for a company's employees to repeatedly answer the same questions.

Here are more examples of a media kit. As you can see, they are essentially 1-page brochures that rely on graphics, catchy statements, and information that stand out.

I believe we already have the makings of a spontaneous, creative, and rapidly organizing movement. In just two weeks, we have given ourselves an identity, have created a petition grounded in legitimate concerns, provided a thorough presentation to back those concerns, and have made our presence known on Facebook. (and Twitter to a lesser extent). I feel comfortable going to the media, and I feel we can do it the right way this time. I’ve already gone ahead and purchased a media contact list for a few dozen dollars. The list includesall Massachusetts-based outlets, with email contacts for Daily Newspapers, Weekly Newspapers, TV Stations, and Radio Stations. All we need to do now is to create the media kit itself.

Here’s my idea: I'm giving the press three different angles to work with, and am limiting each press release to one page, with a cover page that includes a graphic

(1) The first brochure is a general exposé into our movement., with the written headline: "Fans take to social media to demand an investigation into the NFL’s involvement in Deflate Gate."

(2) The Second is an introduction to our organized group, Fans United For Accountability, with the written headline: "Patriots fans are going 'non-partisan' to take on Roger Goodell, and corruption in the NFL"

(3) And the third is a summary of our concerns and why they are so important, with the headline: Was Deflate Gate based on a lie? New questions emerge that add a layer of suspense to controversy

I have enough comments by our petition signers to create the first brochure, and for the third brochure, I've written extensively enough to summarize some of the things written in our presentation (Five Urgent Questions the NFL needs to Address)

But in order for me to create the third brochure about our online group, I need people to identify themselves as dedicated members of FUA.

Here's what you can do to help:

(1) Are you willing to provide your name (or an alias), along with your age, and the city and state you live in?

(2) Can you provide one or two brief details about yourself that would show some of the diversity in our group (e.g. for instance, are you married? What kind of work do you do for a living?)

(3) Can you comment on why you joined this group, and why you feel corruption in sports should be taken seriously? And why is it important for Patriots fans to join a group that’s trying to transcend team loyalties, when it comes to Deflate Gate?

(4) And this one is entirely optional, but if you’re willing to send me your personal photo, that you be amazingly helpful. It would show the press that there are multiple faces to this movement - not just mine.

The second brochure is important. Because the goal is to show the media that we're not just being vindictive against the NFL. We're taking a legitimate stance and are trying to do our best to act on our principles, rather than simply our loyalty to the team!

When is the deadline? The appeal ruling is expected to come down next week. Let's hope by then, our media kit is ready to go!

If I can get two people to come forward, willing to share about themselves, and why they feel strongly about the group's mission, that would be very helpful

Unfortunately, this is the reaction that you're going to get outside of New England...

I do admire the effort, though. Very well done.

Those memes were great!

Chiuba, been getting my head around the messaging thus far. Sent you a message.

I hear you about the brand, but I don't see the path from A to B, that is, how do you get from meme through hash-tag to petition?

(so it's purity of brand vs. usefulness of platform).

Did Goodell & Troy Vincent kidnap Chiuba?
