Kraft and Goodell

Kraft, "Roger how come you hired that incompetent Jets Washout Rod Graves as another vice president?"

Goodell, "Because I can and it is "more probable than not" he will do an excellent job!!"

Kraft, "That sounds great, heard they are having macaroni and cheese for lunch."

Goodell, " BTW Tell that f..ing coach of yours to play nice with the press this year"

Kraft, "Okey dokey Roger, can we go get some macaroni and cheese now??"

I'm in the minority on this, I know....but I'm willing to wait until the resolution of this to judge Kraft. For him to continue this would embarrass the league and he wasn't going to win. However, he's not one to not work behind the scenes.
.
Sorry but I have to disagree. If you believe in something, you stand up for it, even if unpopular and hope others will come around to your point of view. That is how a man of principle acts in the face of crises. What's the old adage, "all is takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing." When you have a vendetta and wrongfully punish someone way disproportionate to anything that might have been committed based on flimsy evidence due to personal bias, you're evil and that is how I view Park Ave. and the stuffed shirt former Jets that work there...
Kraft is the ultimate consensus builder ( see the last CBA negotiations) and if he had continued the groundwork laid with the Wellsreportcontext.com it would have been embarrassing for the league but it might have resulted in a change in the national dialogue from " they're guilty, punish them" to " hey was this a witch hunt, reduce or eliminate those penalties". By rolling over, he tacitly admitted he thinks that Brady is guilty or in the alternative the 31 Boy Scouts and criminals who are his co-owners are more important than his franchise.....Blood before water, you take care of your own above all...........

rant over......

"Dad, you better wash your hand now.You don't know where his hand has been."

I'm so confused... isn't this the man responsible for ruining the reputation of your franchise, suspending your star quarterback, charging your team the largest fine in NFL history, and forcing you to forfeit a 1st round draft pick?

Now I no longer just hate Robert Kraft....I also don't understand him, at all

Here's another thought. In law there is the term, "appearance of impropriety" and it refers to how judges are supposed to act. They are supposed to avoid any situation in which a layperson with no knowledge of the facts might question their ethics. Here you have Goodell, the judge in the sense of reviewing the punishment ( after having meted it out) who is seen socializing (multiple times if you count the couch scene in NYC) with the owner of the team he punished. If he now reduces the punishment (albeit not likely), teams around the league will claim it was due to his " friendship" with Kraft.
This is why I could never see Tagliabue doing this. As an attorney ( which Goodell is not-) he would never have put himself in this situation...

That's all irrelevant - it's all about the Benjamins - and I don't mean Watson or Coates

If you eliminated the first two phrases, it would have been a meaningful post to astute observers.

You were a weird dude when you started posting here, but your posts were still worth reading. It is sad that you decided to go "full troll".

Every time I see a new picture or read a new story about bob kraft I dislike him even more

It just reminds me of how quickly and easily he bent over and presented himself to goodell after vowing to fight the BS punishment

think of the economic value that goodell and kraft have added to the NFL and the patriots, respectively

its pretty impressive
For those who don't yet realize that you've gone "full troll", correlation =/= causation.

lol

as far as trolls go, i think i have a decent sense of humor

and im actually a nice guy.....just a bit strange

And by the way, that's an event where bitter rivals in the telecom industry hang out with each other, so don't read too much into any civility.

Think it's pretty obvious Kraft and Goodell remain close. Goodell gives Kraft a seat next to him at the big league table and that strokes Kraft's ego. Kraft's ego is what drives him. Kraft would sell anyone down the river if it meant getting ahead.

Forget Brady, wonder what Bill Belichick thinks of that relationship.
Wonder what Bill REALLY thinks about Robert Kraft.
