Brady, Gronkowski Among NFL.com's Latest Bizarre Top 10 List

Ian Logue

NFL.com's Adam Schein has his latest top 10 list and has some interesting decisions that he's made in putting this list together, including his top four players, two of which appear to be in error.

Mondo Bizarro for sure.. Luck and Rodgers ahead of Brady??? Adrian Peterson even being on that list after sitting out a year.. seems that more and more mediots just like to write this crap down to create controversy =followers??...

Interesting, because Schein has generally been a Pats defender when I've heard him on Sirius/XM. In fact, I've heard him yell callers off the air when they've started with the cheater angle.

Personally, I haven't listened to him, so don't know either way

Maybe baby needs milk and he's sold out to get the ratings = more $$$$?
or maybe it has more to do with future oriented ratings (like if you had a QB to pick for the next 3-5 years, who would you take)?

I guess you could make a reasonable argument that last year's and two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers belongs at the top of the list ahead of Brady, but Luck? That really makes no sense.

We are going to be sick and tired of hearing about Luck (if we aren't already). Good, young QB - but call me when you win something.

Just another consolidated campaign to gloss another golden boy. Quick! Everyone put your blind folds on and believe everything you read. Epic fail with Manning and until Brady retires I'm thinking the same with Luck. Don't get me wrong, Luck is a great up and coming talent and a top 5 QB but Brady is just better plain and simple. One of a kind and no matter how hold he gets, his experience, determination and work ethic is beyond all of them. If anyone ever has a debate all they need do is look at the 4th quarter of the last game of the season against Seattle. Hell, look at every one of his Super Bowls. He either, won the game in the last few minutes or put his team ahead. Goat. As BB would say, "there's no other QB I'd rather have." Especially in the playoffs.

Brady should be way over Luck, but in Luck's defense it's not his fault the Colts DL can't stop a practice squad running back from running 200 yrds/4 TDs.

I take these Top Players lists that span different positions with a grain of salt. How can a quarterback be compared to defensive end, or a tight end be compared to a cornerback?

But in any event, putting any quarterback ahead of Brady is ludicrous. And while Luck looks like he could become an elite player, he's just not there yet. The writers that constantly pimp him as a top 3 quarterback right now is just wishful thinking. Apparently the NYFL is looking for a new poster boy

OK
But how about this...Has Luck ever brought his team back with a 14 point deficit to tie in a playoff game? Twice? And for the win? Or has he ever faced the league's touted "best defense" and scored 14 points in the 4th Quarter for a comeback win?

Call me when this happens and I'll anoint him.

Brady will be revealed to be #1 tonight.

Agreed. If the situation was reversed (Colts running at will), I'd speculate TFB would make sure to go touchdown for touchdown and not put up a pathetic 7 points.

IMO.

I agree with you but your argument. Luck has come back from 28 points down in the playoffs to win. lol

The fans and media are just in a rush to turn him into the next Peyton "Aww Shucks" Manning. Crowning him the best QB over Brady, who has schooled him all 4 times they've played and has 4 SB titles, 3 SB mvps and 2 league mvps.

Luck has been one of the main reasons they've lost in the playoffs to the Patriots, he throws lots of interceptions but that won't stop the media circus from trying to glorify him before he accomplished anything significant in his career.

I don't give QBs special privilege on my list so I grade how good you were within the context of your position.

#1 Watt
#2 Gronk (I pains me to put Gronk #2 but Watt just had a monster year)
#3 Earl Thomas
#4 Suh
#5 Revis
#6 Rodgers
#7 Brady
#8 Sherman
#9 Murray
#10 Kuechly

HM - Ryan Kalil - OL for Carolina - it pained be to give the OL no love in the top 10 but I just could not find someone I could bump off.

No WRs really separated themselves this year to earn it. Murray with a career year makes it but he was behind a great OL. Still he was so far ahead of the other RBs in yards you would think he played 8 more games.

Houston with 22 sacks was great but disappeared too much for my taste at times to make the top 10.

**Also this is for the regular season not post season. Just want to make that distinction.

I really don't care where they rate Brady, when it comes to the playoffs and the Super Bowl, he's #1, nobody is close.

Winning is all that matters and Brady does it better than anyone else even now at his age.

I'm not sure if LDD (Logic Deficiency Disorder) is a real thing but if it is, I believe it must be a prerequisite to work for BSPN, NFL and the Sports hub.

Last month I read an article in which Felger compared the ability to understand the Ideal Gas Law to being the equivalent of the ability to understand Quantum Physics.o_O
