Mike Curran was the first one that I heard it from though I always suspected there was a bias in the front office. For whatever reason (Mike didn't mention why) Mike Kensil has had it out for BB. The intercepted ball was below 12.5 and Kensil thought his moment finally arrived. The dumbass didn't know about the IGL and here we are today. Are there more than just Kensil out to get the Pats or BB, maybe but that's speculation. Kensil isn't speculation, apparently he's been vocal about it and its no big secret. The only way out is to expose the rat or rats in court so I'm hoping Goodell doesn't reduce the suspension.

Who is Mike Curran? Any relation to Tom? :D

Either they REALLY believe that Brady and company did something shady, or it's a massive conspiracy. I'd love to find some reasonable middle ground, but these are what I keep coming back to.

It's not even an either/or. They could believe the Patriots are guilty, and hence be out to bring them down by any means possible.

This thread is why I don't come here as often as I used to, and now stay away from sports on TV and radio. BTW, its a good thread. The initial post was very informative and well written. The comments that follow just add and expand the topic, and for the most part are also well done.

The problem is that in the end all it does is piss me off.....AGAIN. I read this stuff and I want to lash out at the universe who perpetrated this injustice. The bag job by the league is so clearly defined by the truth, it boggles the mind that almost every day, the media comes out with a headline that buries Brady and the Pats deeper under the mud they are slinging.

So I've come to the conclusion that 2 thing HAVE to be done.

1. It's nice to see all this research and knowledge on a Pats fans' message board. But that NOT where it needs to be. We as fans have to spread this information (the truth) out into the social media by whatever means people who know how to do that sort of thing ( I am 68, you know, and have barely mastered my laptop to get here ;) )

I would love if someone took the time to consolidate all the evidence in one sticky post. Then we can all use that info and spread the "good news", the truth. I do have the capability to do is go to other team's web sites and spread the truth to them. They might not want to hear it, but at least they will have heard it.

2. We all have to come to the conclusion that this will NEVER go away, even with the truth on our side. Remember there are still people who honestly believe that the universe is only 5,000 years old, Climate change is a myth, and God cares about who wins sporting events. So SOME people will always believe in the slander the league is handing out. So that's not going to change. Our only hope is that we can convince MOST fans that this is nothing but a grudge match by a Cabal of angry, jealous, and bitter men who couldn't best their betters on the field.

Might be a stupid question but what exactly is Kensil's title/job?

Might be a stupid question but what exactly is Kensil's title/job?

I would have to look it up but i think sth like vp of gameday operations
Also, prez of belichick hate club

Why should I spend my time and energy defending the Pats if the owner isn't?

Besides, I come across so many mindless lemmings in my daily life who know that "Brady must have done something wrong" that I ran out of energy. The sad part is that most of them are Pats fans.

The NFL has 46 vice presidents. No, I am not joking. 46.

Our young men are out there strugglin', getting poor financial advice, and we waste millions on 46 vice presidents?
Can i get a hallelujah?

The NFL has 46 vice presidents. No, I am not joking. 46.

And coincidentally, one of them is named "Tom Brady."

For the record, I'm only seeing 23 on their linkedin profile. I'm guessing that some lower level VPs aren't being included in their figures, and even though it's not uncommon to see 25-30 "VPs" from major corporations (especially in the finance industry), the NFL is definitely taking it overboard with a total of 46.

PARITY

The goal of the league is to reach mediocrity for each team. All the teams should be between 10-6 and 6-10. Competitiveness. With the 6-10 team becoming a 10-6 team the following year. That is the "Integrity of the Shield." Supremacy is not the word of the day. Especially continued supremacy. Belichick, Brady, and Kraft have beaten the system. The Draft, Free Agency, The Salary Cap, the Rules Committee etc. Break one of our rules to stop you - you cheated. Now the Patriots as the marked "WWF villain" creates backwards parity. Now how many players and fans of other teams "think" they deserve one of the 6 Patriot Conference championships and one of the 4 Superbowls. We coulda - we shoulda - it's ours. Our Precious !

Giving false hope to the hopeless.

Although i agree there's Jets rats about in this mess, what you describe is, and has been, [Tagliabue] the policy of the NFL. Of course Tags was an intelligent adult who realized people want to see great teams.

Under goodell, policy has become to take any measure to prevent great teams, in favor of everybody getting a chance to have their s**tty team, with sh**tty coaching and execution, in the super bowl, because football fans are stupid sheep that can't tell the difference.

Mike Kensil...did YOU order the code red??????

Get this rotten evil scumbag on the stand in federal court...rip Goodell World to smithereens.

30,000-foot level?

It really looks like "Break up the Patriots."

And yes, the case could be made that the most obvious beneficiaries would be the JEST.

But how am I supposed to believe that the NFL establishment favors one team over another? NFL headquarters is based in New York, so naturally there are going to be people affiliated with certain teams?

So are you saying that the Pats have made enemies of people in that establishment?

The 100,000 dollar fine wasn't enough? Look at yourteamcheats.com and compare the precedent for far less tampering and see what the outcome was.

Think about the people who work for the NFL. The owners are a bunch of spoiled, fat-assed, self-entitled rich guys are used to getting their way, being waited on 24/7 by a bunch of obsequious morons. Then you've got a smorgasbord of hyper-competitive dipshits, jock sniffers, adolescent wannabes and garden variety dimwits.

The league succeeds in spite of itself for one reason - people like you and me love the sport. We're now in the middle of a Harvard Business School case study to see just how much dysfunction, incompetence and corruption the business can withstand. Watch this space. (Mark Cuban has already noticed this.)

To say there is a conspiracy implies a level of competence that is far beyond the meager abilities of the Mike Kensils of the world. This kind of nonsense has been going on forever.

By the way, Bill Belichick is no different from Al Davis, Vince Lombardi, George Allen, or even (ugh) Don Shula, guys who were successful because they relentlessly sought every tiny edge they could get to win in a game that often comes down to inches. The difference is Commissioner Scheisskopf's tone deaf, ham-handed stupidity. Rozelle and Tags dealt with this stuff in house in a low-key, efficient and effective manner. No one was the wiser, which is how well run businesses deal with their problems.

Firing Scheisskopf is quickly moving from being merely desirable to absolutely necessary. The question is how long it will take the Billionaire Boys Club to notice? I know these guys are awfully busy counting their money and sexually harassing the hired help, so it's not like they don't have anything better to do. Hope at least one of the Fat Boys can smell the smoke because the building is most definitely on fire.
