Its just an area for rich blowhards that will buy tickets to brag to their friends and look important, or impress some date. They'll be chit chatting and being douchey with a glass of champagne more than they'll be paying attention to the actual game.

Not everyone is a diehard fan like us. Why not add things casual fans would enjoy too? I know we'd prefer more noise but as a business owner, this is a good idea to please the more casual fans. Hell if I was on a date I'd rather be in the lounge than screaming next to fanatics up in the stands (although there's times I'd like to do that too). Just enjoy life. If this is what some people enjoy and want, why not let them have it? It's a nice addition. Nobody is forcing you to go there or not be in the stands with the "real" fans.

Nobody is forced to go there, but I do know there were some people who used to have seats in that location who were forced to leave. I feel bad for those guys.

I don't like it because they ripped out a bunch of endzone seating where diehards were to put this luxury box in. If they just built it out in another part of the stadium then I would have zero problem with it, but I equate this to an attack on the middle class in favor of the rich type move personally

 Have you ever been to a game at Gillette? Attending a football game is not supposed to be a passive experience. The end zone LOUNGE is a terrible idea encroaching significantly on the ACTIVE environment of a passionately emotional, physical sporting event. If there's anything that stadium doesn't need, it's structural changes accommodating CASUAL fans at the expense of overall atmosphere.

A football game is whatever experience you want it to be. It's just a game. Some people are passionate and emotional about it, some people just watch recreationally, other use it merely for business or enjoying a date with someone. It can be a passive experience. Many people gather to watch football on Sundays to hang out with friends and talk and they flip through games without paying much attention to them.
While I agree it sucks that seats for diehard fans got ripped out, there are still plenty of other seats for those fans while creating seats for fans that are not as passionate.
It's a business. This is what some of the customers want. This is what some of the customers who probably have more money than you or I want. It helps to accommodate all types of fans.
Remember - it's just a game. Not everything about the NFL is about winning. It's about the experience, the culture, the atmosphere, and the MONEY.
I think it's kinda cool. As much as I love the Patriots and want the stadium to be loud, I'd also enjoy being in the lounge for a game one day.

It's about having FUN, not doing everything possible to win. Leave that to the players and coaches.
If you think hanging out in that lounge on a Sunday afternoon wouldn't be fun, then you're taking a game way too seriously.
You act as if you're being forced to pay for the lounge or that you make your salary from the patriots winning a game.

Win or lose, for me it's about the enjoyment of the game.
I will never understand people who get angry or cry over a loss. What an overreaction. Those people act as if it really affects their life. Win or lose, everything important in your life is still there. Football is just a game. There are so many more important things in life. Kick back in the lounge, talk to a loved one, just enjoy the game.

The 21st Century Neo-Neville Chamberlain hath spoken down his bony nose of entitled snobbery.

Same poster who tried telling us that "Kraft does not deserve your anger"

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...ds/kraft-does-not-deserve-your-anger.1120495/

is now trolling about the lounge. So...... high level employee of the team, general paid shill, or basic troll?

no need for us to argue

we are all Patriot fans

that's what is important

we root just as hard in luxury suites as people do in the upper levels

Blibbidy blobbidy blah, blah, blah ... Just answer the question honestly: have you ever been to a game at Gillette?

Yes. One time.
I don't see how that had any affect on my opinion. If I attended a game again, I'd prefer to sit in the lounge. I think it would be a cool experience. I could still enjoy the game and root for the patriots without feeling like its my job and duty to scream the entire time.

Seriously, some grown men treat football the way teenage girls treat One Direction.

Exactly.
It's just a bunch of fans who took something that is supposed to be fun and let it bring stress and anger into their lives. It's silly. Really they are no better than teenage girls obsessing over boy bands.
I can still enjoy the game from a luxury suite. Nobody is forcing these people to go to the lounge. What's the big deal?

My oh my, why I declare we have never had so many genteel trolls gather at our little old football forum. We are so honored. I'm just all a twitter and a flutter from all these fine, respectable gentleman jackasses.
