Sherman was #11 and Revis was #17. Can't argue with that - Sherman was definitely better than Revis last year.

Also, Brady and Gronk are confirmed to be in the top 10 now. Brady will likely be #1, but Gronk deserves to be top 5 too.

I'm sure revis going to the jets had no bearing on your opinion there.

Because I remember 6 months ago we all were in agreement revis was the best in the land

Screw Sherman.

Does Ike Taylor have pictures of someone at the NFL Network? Why is he all over that channel, and top 100 show ..?

Yes, then the postseason happened.

Sherman outperformed him down the stretch, including in the SB (against a better receiving corps.)

I have no problem with Revis being ranked 2ND best at his position.

I wonder where the players would rank Brady now if they did the rankings again, because these were done months ago. It would probably be ugly.

Nah, most still respect him and know that deflated balls mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Watched the Revis top 100 video. Damn he was good *in the regular season*

Revis plays the hardest position in the league and he does it the hardest way. Straight-up man to man against the best receiver with little help. Anyone picking the coddled brat on the Seahawks over Revis is not paying attention.

I'd take Peterson over any of them right now.

Based on age you need to.

I think he's better than Sherman but ahe plays a factor with Revis. I think Revis is as smart a corner as any who have played the game, but he showed some inability to deal with the quicker receivers who could get off him at the line. He going to be really good for another 4-5 years if he stays healthy, and I would expect a move to safety at some point. He's basically Charles Woodson, and he will be an impact player for a time to come. No more rings, but a really good player.

I doubt it man. Rodgers or Watt takes the #1 spot. Gronk should be top 5, I agree with that. But he won't.

The top 10 will have: Brady, Rodgers, Luck, Manning, Murray, Lynch, Johnson, Brown, Gronkowski, Watt.

I fully understand that Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Given that, Revis deserved a much higher ranking if nothing else but to move and take out (without deep safety help) the opponent's best receiver.
I also have a problem with Manning in the top 10. He no longer is deserving of that recognition.

It's hard to compare them since Sherman always plays on one side of the field and while Revis usually covers the others team's best receiver in man with little or no safety help. Except for a couple of rough patches (mostly in the Jets game), Revis had an amazing year. I didn't see enough of Sherman to say for sure, but given his more limited role, it's hard to imagine that he had a better season than Revis in 2014.

Revis was the best last year. he was consistently asked to shut down the top receiver on each team - sherman was not. let's not let the fact he is on the jets color things. it will hurt not having him but he is where he wanted to be - we can't do anything about it.

I think Sherman could potentially do it better if given the opportunity but until then Revis is better. Sherman definitely has more athleticism and better ball skills.
