Here's a good piece of journalism from a complete, utter moron. I hope he lost $50,000 on Butler's interception, but I'm sure he wouldn't have that much to bet. Usually hack writers with a small penis complex don't make it very far.

The game ended up being a bigger beatdown than the "arrogant" Patriots fans predicted. Or course, Doyel is one of the loudest, dumbest imbeciles to scream about PSI.

Well I will say in Doyle's defense that according to his informal poll, Patriots fans did get it wrong. Doyle writes the results of his informal poll as:

"Average score among 50-plus Patriots fans: Patriots 38, Colts 22."

So obviously we got it wrong. :( ................................................ ;)

Dude is a f*cking hack. He got fired from CBS Sportsline, who still employ Pete Prisco. Getting picked up by Indy Star is like getting picked up by a high school paper.

Only thing good about Gregg Doyel is that he says Larry Bird is the greatest shooter of all-time.

Everything else that spews from his pen, keyboard and mouth is sludge.

Hence forth he shalt be known as Gregg Dribble ... get him a bib.

Gregg Doyel said:
But the Colts are no joke. Beating the Bengals in the AFC wild-card round wasn't an eyebrow-raising result, but manhandling the Broncos in Denver was. That was a definitive statement that the Colts can go on the road and not just beat a team, but dominate a team – a team that had dominated them earlier this season. Any team that can go to Denver and do what the Colts did last week can go to New England and compete, even win.

LOL! manhandled the Broncos? You won by 11? You call 24-13 dominating? lol. Nah 45-7 is dominating. Yes Doyel, the Colts are a joke. They take from their idiot coked up owner.

I've noticed people who don't like the pats are predicting the colts to make it to the sb. they'll give many reasons but in all honesty they just don't wanna say the pats will get there again. I think the pats will get back next year and I consider Baltimore more of a threat than the colts. But the media is just wanting luck to get there so badly.

People like Doyel overstated the Colts' win against the Broncos in the playoffs. The Broncos had no QB and they were an average team limping into the playoffs by the end of the season.

In reality, the Colts really had no right to go to the AFCCG last season. They lucked out and got choke artists Cincy and a mediocre Broncos team that started the season strong and were playing like crap at the end of the season.

Would it be arrogant if I pick the Pats to destroy the Colts by 3 TDs right now? Or would it be naive?
Cuz I'm really thinking 3 tds isn't that much. I'm trying not be arrogant and predict a 5 td blowout, but that team has one of the softest defenses I've ever seen. And what do they do with their draft? Go offense. It's so Polian like of them.

I'd like to see 7 TFB TD passes in a total rout: 63-6 sounds about right.

Thats b/c Bird went to IU

In the 2013-2014 season, the Patriots faced the Broncos in the AFCCG. They were banged up, and got more banged up during the game. The Broncos 'proved' that they were just too much for the Patriots, despite having lost to them earlier in the season. The Patriots window was closed, and Brady was in decline.

Or was that just reading too much into 1 game involving a very banged up team? Given what happened in the 2015 season, that certainly seems like a pretty fair assessment.

Or are we seeing a bit of history repeating itself, at least to some degree?

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Doyel is the Colts beat reporter version of Volin

They're both their own unique style of turd. Doyel may be a pretentious gas bag with the goatee of someone who dropped out of art school, but at least he doesn't go out of his way to put a negative spin on everything his HOME team does. Volin on the other hand has no problem doing that.

Yes but Doyel did not grow up in Indiana so he is not a "Hoosier" per se. He stated that up-front in his article as to demonstrate he was not a homer. I find that ironic as his fiery commentary about the Pats and love for the Dolts was very homerish IMO.

This is Gold. Bring it on.
