He wasn't punished...?

Did he get a speeding ticket?

I think he's extremely appealing as our placekicker. Was there ever any question?

My eyes can roll any harder.

Rian Lindell, Really? LOL! omfg honestly? Lindell over Gostkowski? Is that a freaking joke?

At least they didn't suggest Brandon McManus (Donkeys@Pats. thunk . . . ROAR).

I was in NY City back in Sept 2010 and me and my friend went to the Pats vs Jets game. It's the game where Moss made that spectacular one handed catch against Revis. I was watching the players warm up before the game and Gostkowski and Folk began warming up. Every one of Folks kicks split the uprights even those he tried from the 50 yard line. Gostkowski kicks were all over the place. One would go wide left, the next wide right and the next make it through the uprights. Sure enough Gostkowski misses his only FG try and Folk makes both of his. Gostkowski even came out on the field during half time and practiced kicking field goals.

Needless to say, I left that game not very impressed with our FG kicker. I went back while writing this and I see his FG percentage was 76.9% that year. In 2014 his FG percentage was 94.6%. I'm glad that he stuck around :)

Yeah, there's no doubt that Gost was a bit erratic for a period, but I think his injury added to that dramatically. Either way, he seems to have improved upon the play in his earlier career, so it's great to see him practically dominant.
