I'm missing a bit of slang -- what's the MCI?

As the wind changes from the SE today, Florio decides to venture into this area.. wait until tomorrow when writes how Brady will just acquiesce to the whims of Goodell.. or some "soreass wish he was a Patriot" can discuss how the Patriots cheat.

Florio is not on the side of the Angels - he is on the side of Florio.
The enemy of my enemy is NOT my friend. He is a co-beligerant.
If you fell for that assumption, it is OK. Everyone does. Ask anyone in the early '40s about Uncle Joe Stalin.

For another example: Osama Bin Laden was the enemy of my enemy the Soviets.

Easy, there.

Great Points...but it comes off a little bit silly when you pretend that you're the only one who gets all that.

Dude, right now he can have all my clicks

Florio posts pro pat stories after 11 and then buries them with 10 stories about Michael Bennett eating Cheetos or some other garbage. He's doing it to have evidence that he was right all along if Brady wins in court. Barely anyone say this I bet.

All of this...Sally Jenkins, this piece...I mean here, Florio is directly saying this is nonsense cooked up by Kensil. We read it and care and hope, but the die is cast--at least in the near future. Substantively changing public perception is like altering the course of the Titanic. Florio talking sense now is like someone shouting a warning with ice all over the deck. The damage is done.

Now, long-term? Yeah, there's a chance there. This stuff helps. But the most important thing is to take actions that will reflect will historically--meaning, Kraft blew it (we all knew that while it was happening) and Brady has to fight this as long and as hard as it takes. A suspension, draft picks, whatever...it's about honor means something far most lasting. So don't give up, Tom.

I disagree, I think it's really important that Florio and , and Curran et al are following this and blasting the NFL. Once Kraft capitulated it was all on Brady to challenge the NFL and this isn't the end of that process it's the beginning of it. It takes time to put together evidence of a frame up and that is what they are doing. What the NFL wanted was for everyone to buy their story, lock it down, punish Brady and be done with it. What Brady is doing is keeping it alive so that the media who care about the truth have the opportunity to uncover the web of lies the NFL has constructed, put the pieces together, and demonstrate just how corrupt and dishonest the NFL really is. The NFL league office is keenly aware of the progress that Florio, Jenkins and others are making and are desperate to put an end to this, thus Vincent's panicky response, because he will be one of those looking for work when this is over. And the reason he is trying to turn this into an issue of the NFLPA misusing their funds is because he realizes that Brady is about to co opt the support of all NFL players as he goes up against the commissioner and the abuses of the league office. Vincent is desperately trying to change that narrative at Brady's expense but is going to lose that battle as the players hate Goodell and want nothing more than for a player to bring him and the league office down. That said it would be really funny if Brady responded by saying " don't worry, I've got this," and paid the legal dues out of his own pocket. However even if he doesn't he still on solid ground as he has paid his dues for 15 years and deserves the full support of the union on this matter.

The bottom line, at least imo, the league office is scared sh.tless at the latest Exponent news and realizes they are in big trouble as they head for federal court. Sally Jenkins is right, there's only one way out and no way Goodell will take it so heads will be rolling on Madison Avenue when this is done, and Vincent's will end up on a pike in Brady's trophy room.

Anyone who was around for Spygate knows what Florio's about. But I'll take whatever voice of reason we can get. Like him or not, Florio stands on a pretty big soapbox, and his words reach a lot of people. It's better when he's arguing for your position than against it.

Yet again. Once this is all said and done, I can't even imagine what kind of seething hatred Vincent will have for Brady.

The more the better. If the league office was feeling good about the way this was going they would just stay quiet. That Vincent needs to play the "poor players" card is an act of desperation.

This is getting as good as the Wells press conference. They feel heat they are not used to.

Trollin Volin even tweets with that slimeball Kravitz. You are who your friends are.

Really long post by you, so I'm not entirely sure what you disagree with.

You say "it takes time to put together evidence of a frame up and that is what they are doing. What the NFL wanted was for everyone to buy their story, lock it down, punish Brady and be done with it. What Brady is doing is keeping it alive..."

That was pretty much my point. Short-term (eg, the draft picks) I don't see these pieces helping, but Brady maintaining the fight may lead to long-term--legacy--success.

Seems like we agree, but I might be missing something.
