Why Brady has to fight this to the bitter end.

Bill Cosby raped dozens of women over the course of 50 years.

This is considered equivalent to possibly deflating a football.

No VP, Brady's is worse. Brady was More Probably Than Not, Cosby's was a Definite with many victims coming forward.

Saw that too

hate this whole ****ing thing so much

"Ricki and I wish Kyle Brady all the best in his upcoming union-related decision ... (What babe? Oh yeah.) I'm sorry -- Tom. Tom Brady. (What's that? No babe, Irsay tweeted earlier today he's all out of coke. You might want to phone Jay Z's local contact downtown ... Yeah.) Like I was saying, it might not look like it but Patriots fans are our priority. And I must say, the new end zone lounge looks spectacular."

Look at that smile, what a trooper!

Do you suppose there may be a time where, in the privacy of her own room, she gets a cumulative case of the willys?

No, she just thinks of her accumulated suitcases of $$$.

I despise the NFL office now. Tom needs to go all out.

So they replaced Mel Gibson, a rabid racist anti-Semite who has gone completely off the rails, with Brady in that montage. That's even more insulting. I really wish I knew what the hell Brady's camp was doing about any of this.

It's frustrating, irritating and insulting. I wonder the same thing and then remind myself that any public response only magnifies the original BS. It is disturbing, for sure.

The rehabilitation of Tom. What process or processes will it take? In no order of importance, these are the ways it might happen:

1. Work the press. A few known writers have already begun to question if deflation happened at all. Tom and his PR will continue to work on them assiduously. The ESPN's, the Kings and all the others who take the line "the Patriots have a history of doing things" will take years to come around. (BTW, how come nobody has challenged Vincent's reasoning for the harsh punishment on the team (he took spygate as the reason to believe that the team has not mended its ways).
2. Drag the NFL to courts. For whatever charges. Get the whole story out. Hopefully, win the case.
3. Sue Mortensen. I am sure Mortensen will hide behind his constitutional rights. But, whatever the outcome, it will bring public's attention to the fact that Brady may have been framed. If Mortensen sings, I would hate to imagine the damage to the league office.
4. If the court outcome against NFL is positive, start suing shows like "Mr. Robot". Couple of court cases will discourage any future references.
5. Keep winning. Get another title.

I have no clue to Tom's fortitude to go through a grinding rehabilitation process. I think he will expend serious amount of energy if he decides to go all out. It could affect his game, his family life and everything else.

This fight, and what should happen off the field, is more important than what happens on the field. A game is a game and a season is a season. A legacy is forever. If he has to lose some focus for a single season so that he can save 14 others than he's gotta do it. Brady's legacy is in serious jeopardy to go down in disgrace and he is surely aware of that.

That being said I can't imagine this will do anything but fill him with the righteous wrath of god on and off the field.

I have been wanting to say this the entire week, but I wasn't sure where to post it, so I started a new thread to get it out. If a mod wants to move it to a more appropriate thread, feel free. But we are kind of in our POV is is obviously biased, even if our evidence is sound.

Early in the week I happened to catch a new show on the USA network called Mr Robot. It's about a socially damaged young brilliant hacker, who is a tech geek by day, and by night hacks bad people land makes them pay. It is actually a very good show with a interesting premise and I recommend it highly. But that's not why I'm posting.

In the opening set up the kid is narrating his view on the world. It's about how the big corporations really control things.....and control us, the one percent of the one percenters. How nothing is what we perceive it to be. About how our heroes are often deceivers, Then they flash to pictures of Lance Armstrong, Bill Cosby...... and TOM BRADY.

So despite a complete lack of evidence, based on premise that 1 or 2 PSI of a football actually IS cheating,, an artfully orchestrated smear campaign, and the suspension of belief in science, fairness, and justice, Tom Brady is now firmly ensconced in pantheon of cheaters and liars. He has now become an epitome of deception and cheating, so much so, he can be used on TV as a prime example.

I don't know. Maybe the writer is a Jet fan. But the point is, if Tom even contemplates a future where the first thing anyone associates with him isn't "deflategate cheater", then he HAS be COMPLETELY cleared of this slander, if not by the league, then the courts. He CANNOT accept anything less. A 1 game concession might seem in the short run the best solution, but THAT won't take that picture off the TV show. ( BTW - nwhen the day comes that he IS finally exonerated, I will write a letter to that show demanding they cut the reference, and make a public apology to Tom.)

I'm actually surprised his father's head hasn't exploded by this league orchestrated smear campaign. (included the "league source" who stated the other day that Tom's responses weren't convincing) You had to be expecting that one.
i for one hope he takes it all the way. even if that means it ruins the patriots season. he needs to clear himself. but more importantly exspose the league goodell and the colts.

I saw Mr. Robot, saw the scene with Brady depicted as a cheater! I made a furious comment laced with FBombs. And my wife's loving response was.... "Do you want to know my opinion"! I told her that her opinion has to be based on more than what she heard on TV, and if it wasn't then don't tell me it because it will just piss me off more. So needless to say we continued to watch in silence.

If you allow yourself to be made a mockery of, and don't stand up for yourself. Don't expect anyone else to stand up for you! Right Bob!

Brady has to fight this to the end! His legacy isn't written in stone yet, as opposed to the Patriots legacy which is hardening as we speak! So go ahead Brady, rip these muthas apart.

When the whole thing started, my wife snidely said to me "I think they cheated".

But when the Wells Report came out with actual data about football pressures, and I filled her in, she bought the innocence story.

That said -- my wife has taught both science and literature at the university level, so she's not really representative of the general population.

Brady and his camp haven't done much to dispel the solidified public opinion that he is guilty. perhaps they are remaining silent to not antagonize Goodell until after his ruling.

by remaining silent, and nit picking the legal-eses of the case, Brady is not winning hearts and minds.

how about
"i didn't do it, i don't know what they are talking about"
"i didn't give them my phone because they had all my texts. would you give them your phone?"
"our guys tell me they didn't do anything"

the lack of straight out denials by anyone involved in the case makes this whole situation stink.

and i will add that Kraft never made the straight out denial either.FFS. he said
"i believe tom"
"the amount of money spent on this is ridiculous"
"there is no clear evidence etc"

even kraft never said -- we didn't do it

At some point he needs to do all that stuff, but I can see why he'd wait until all the administrative and legal proceedings are over.

For example, if he's going to say negative things about Goodell or the league, there's an obvious reason to wait until the league has made its last disciplinary decision about him.
