Mike Florio: Goodell Underling(s) Were Out to Get the Patriots

Settling out of court is a common occurrence but I agree, this doesn't sit well with me either. They are negotiating on the premise that TB12 is guilty- not innocent.

However the response by TB12 should be, "Ok, I won't sue as long as my suspension is vacated, the commissioner publicly exonerates me and says nothing happened and the team reduces/eliminates the sanctions vs the Patriots. If this is not reasonable, I will not sue. If this is not, see you in court.".

still dont see how Goodell would accept this.

this would make the would the NFL* look bad.

Brady is taking this to court...

This doesn't go far enough. The demand also needs to include an investigation of NFL* front office personnel as well as other teams, with compensation coming from other teams involved, as well as sanctions against league officials if wrongdoing is found.

If bias against the Pats is determined to have occurred, then the Rats tampering penalty needs to be revisited and the penalty adjusted, with at least one high pick going from Rats to Pats.

Its outside the scope of TB12's concerns but I agree 100%

The only person who can start that tidal wave is still experiencing jetlag from his trip to Jerusalem and he blew it.

I agree. The likelihood of Goody accepting these terms are slim and none.

But if the interest is to negotiate this issue away, then so be it.

I think we need to remember NY Jet Brett Farve received a $50K fine for not turning his phone over when he sent a **** pic but NE Patriot Brady gets a $2M fine and 4 game suspension for not turning his phone over when there were no texts. Punishment of a Jet vs a Patriot.

Would love to see how Goodell would negotiate...

Goodell : Tom, we know you didnt do anything wrong, but take a 1 game suspension for the integrity of the league

Brady : Either you vacate the suspension and remove the fines from the team, or I will take this to court and embarrass the NFL and probably cost you your job

Goodell : But the integrity...

Brady : **** you Roger and your Integrity.......

Brady's not going to hold out for the Pats' draft picks back, nor should he. That's not his problem; it's Kraft's battle to fight, and he chose not to because he sucks.

All Brady should be concerned with is getting his own punishment reversed.

Supposedly, heard today, the league is saying if Brady doesn't agree to no law suit, then there's no reduction.

Well, Well, Well if this report is true than the boys at NFL* HQ must be beginning to sweat.

Maybe even sitting up a gang for the night shift to come in and start shedding documents. But it won't do them any good because they are all Ex-Jets and not one of them will be able to keep the story straight during a lengthily process of discovery and trial.

part two of this interview was supposed to come out the next day, but it didn't

No one outside New England is going to care about an article on Boston Sports Media .com

until this stuff is picked up by a few more people like Florio then we're screwed.

perhaps it's convenient to check if Florio is still breathing.

I was going to make fun over this when someone asked when part2 was going to come out and some other user answered "Tomorrow". I was going to complement "If he is still alive tomorrow".

Actually gaining that pick back does serve his interest. Even if he isn't an O lineman, it could be a player that helps team win yet another Super Bowl.

Ain't no fun when the deer has the gun.......

There's a Pulitzer waiting for the reporter who publishes the complete look into the inner workings of the NFL's handling of "Deflategate" ... will it happen, though— or is there too much fear of the NFL's power?

S/he will be rubbed out before the first syllable arrives at the publisher's office. Goodell will contract Wells to get to the bottom of it.

So if there is any chance of a court case involving discovery I would assume the PTB are busy covering their tracks.

Does anyone know if there is a permanent record of texts and emails on the NFL* front office personnel's phones? Would a service provider be able to recover texts that were deleted from both the senders and receivers phones? I imagine it's possible that the NFL*, a la Hillary Clinton, may have their own private servers where records and backups have convenient accidents.

Why doesn't Giselle just finance a movie to expose the entire thing? They can't get after Brady for something his independent wife does with her own money. Hire a really good investigative producer and a couple of hot actors, and go at it. It'd probably at least break-even business deal for her.
