Settling out of court is a common occurrence but I agree, this doesn't sit well with me either. They are negotiating on the premise that TB12 is guilty- not innocent.
However the response by TB12 should be, "Ok, I won't sue as long as my suspension is vacated, the commissioner publicly exonerates me and says nothing happened and the team reduces/eliminates the sanctions vs the Patriots. If this is not reasonable, I will not sue. If this is not, see you in court.".
still dont see how Goodell would accept this.
this would make the would the NFL* look bad.
Brady is taking this to court...
