I have been wanting to say this the entire week, but I wasn't sure where to post it, so I started a new thread to get it out. If a mod wants to move it to a more appropriate thread, feel free. But we are kind of in our POV is is obviously biased, even if our evidence is sound.

Early in the week I happened to catch a new show on the USA network called Mr Robot. It's about a socially damaged young brilliant hacker, who is a tech geek by day, and by night hacks bad people land makes them pay. It is actually a very good show with a interesting premise and I recommend it highly. But that's not why I'm posting.

In the opening set up the kid is narrating his view on the world. It's about how the big corporations really control things.....and control us, the one percent of the one percenters. How nothing is what we perceive it to be. About how our heroes are often deceivers, Then they flash to pictures of Lance Armstrong, Bill Cosby...... and TOM BRADY.

So despite a complete lack of evidence, based on premise that 1 or 2 PSI of a football actually IS cheating,, an artfully orchestrated smear campaign, and the suspension of belief in science, fairness, and justice, Tom Brady is now firmly ensconced in pantheon of cheaters and liars. He has now become an epitome of deception and cheating, so much so, he can be used on TV as a prime example.

I don't know. Maybe the writer is a Jet fan. But the point is, if Tom even contemplates a future where the first thing anyone associates with him isn't "deflategate cheater", then he HAS be COMPLETELY cleared of this slander, if not by the league, then the courts. He CANNOT accept anything less. A 1 game concession might seem in the short run the best solution, but THAT won't take that picture off the TV show. ( BTW - nwhen the day comes that he IS finally exonerated, I will write a letter to that show demanding they cut the reference, and make a public apology to Tom.)

I'm actually surprised his father's head hasn't exploded by this league orchestrated smear campaign. (included the "league source" who stated the other day that Tom's responses weren't convincing) You had to be expecting that one.

The creator of that show is Sam Esmail and he is from Hoboken, New Jersey. Is he a Jets fan, I don't know but more probable then not he is.

I've seen Mr Robot and I don't recall the Brady reference. I must have blocked it out.

There's a pretty good post in another thread here (I'll see if I can find it) that puts a political/racial spin on the whole fiasco. He made some good points.

Sadly, you are right. The "sting" worked. The haters from the NFL planted the seeds into the mediots heads and they took it exactly where they had hoped, attention spans being as they are, Brady is a cheater. All the facts, updates, new studies, questioning, corrections and new story lines are not working. The true story of what really happened is not traveling beyond the New England borders.

Judgement day has come and gone and Brady lost.

Nothing short of exposing them for what they truly are will suffice - self serving, jealous, backstabbing , greedy little piggies.

Total exoneration is the otnly acceptable way to close this out. Whatever it takes to get the truth out is what needs to happen.

Tom Brady MUST fight this with all he has or the GOAT will remain slaughtered and left at the entrance to a certain building in Canton, Ohio.

I wish there was something we could do to help.

I agree Tom has to do what ever he can to clear his name. I just don't know if anything he does will
get back his good name. People for the most part believe what they want to believe even if the facts
contradict that belief. The damage has been done. The unjust act has been perpetrated and the powers
to be are the perpetrators. Can a court bring overturn the NFL decision? Can he win a defamation case?
In the court he is still at the mercy of people who may very well kowtow to the power of the NFL cronies.
It is a sad sad thing that people can get away with this kind of thing.
If Rodger-Dodger doesn't vacate his horrendous verdict I fear Tom's good name is doomed.
Where's the Godfather when you need him.
Maybe Tom goes on national TV and tells it all to the American people. Maybe all fans from all teams who
see this injustice block every stadium entrance with a sit down. I just don't know how he will ever get
his good name back.

There are things ppl can do but most won't bother.

Hopefully, this weekend I can get my comp working and look up more info

I agree Ken. I said on another thread, I'm ready to take this to the wall. If Brady has to go to court and it ends up that he has to serve his suspension in the post season -- so be it! If he is innocent, he can't accept any punishment.

One other good point you make -- this is really the battle of public opinion. So, even if a court refuses to hear his case, keep on pushing. Especially if we can get a credible, non-biased writer to review all of it and write a book about it.

Bill Cosby raped dozens of women over the course of 50 years.

This is considered equivalent to possibly deflating a football.
Could help with a possible defamation suit (not that it will really ever get any legs, but if it does...I say take the whole industry down).

If the NFLPA gets the suspension Brady should sue for defamation for a few billion, his brand has suffered irrepable damage as a result of a campaign of deliberate lies by NFL officials.

While the bar is high since Brady is a public figure. There is the case to be made that they conducted a Sting operation, and further the NFL lied to the Patriots and the public about the leaks to cover up the fact that nothing was done to the game balls other than to use them in the game conditions that day.

Mortenson should be included to find out who provide him with the lie used to defame Brady.

The settlement would be the resignation of Goodell, Kensil, Gardi, Blandino and the rest involved with smearing Brady. Or let the owners pony up the money from their pockets. See if they still want to keep Goodell and his entourage.

Brady of all people has done things the right way this makes the actions of tht aholes even more outrageous.

If Brady is innocent cannot win a defamation lawsuit here then the law is horribly broken and must be fixed.

Mortensen, scum that he is for not retracting his erroneous story, will hide behind reporter-source confidentiality.

So per Jason Cole even the NFL admits the Wells report is "severely" rubish. They don't want this to get to court, yet they still want to punish him for the text message, citing common sense, something the NFL clearly lack. If Brady is not cleared court is the only alternative, i hope there no deal in exchange for a pledge not to sue.

Those stupid ******ed txt messages are going to be the death of me.

Yes, someone ought to send the info about this show to Brady's legal team.

I saw Mr. Robot, saw the scene with Brady depicted as a cheater! I made a furious comment laced with FBombs. And my wife's loving response was.... "Do you want to know my opinion"! I told her that her opinion has to be based on more than what she heard on TV, and if it wasn't then don't tell me it because it will just piss me off more. So needless to say we continued to watch in silence.

If you allow yourself to be made a mockery of, and don't stand up for yourself. Don't expect anyone else to stand up for you! Right Bob!

Brady has to fight this to the end! His legacy isn't written in stone yet, as opposed to the Patriots legacy which is hardening as we speak! So go ahead Brady, rip these muthas apart.
