Florio Rips NFL Response to Mortensen Report

On what basis can he defend Mort and the league? Is he trying to be a complete ***hat?
He insisted that the league didn't know the figures given to Mort were wrong until the Wells Report was issued. Honestly, I was beside myself. You can listen for yourself on their podcast. And finally, some poor prick from California called in to take him to task, and he pretty much put the guy down with arrogant, defensive BS. At that point I was done. I'd love to hear from others here after they listen to it.

So he was factually wrong.

I wrote to Mort. I pointed out that in his twitter Bio he lists "Christian, Husband, Father, Veteran" and I asked what would Jesus do if he got 11 of 12 wrong.

He was given wrong info but he needs to come out and admit he reported wrong information he was given. This is the right thing to do and what a good Christian would do. Time for him to walk the talk

State of the NFL right now and Goodell

Yeah Jesus only got 1 of 12 wrong.

Not even sure where to post this, but here's goes. I was at the beach today in RI and I listened to MFB (Mother F######## B####) for a while, then Porky and Zolak. Horrid radio. At noon I figured I'd flip over to the PFW podcast. Immediately, Paul Perillo is arguing with Fred Kirsch. Perillo is PISSED, maintaining Brady is guilty of something, defending Mort and the league about the original PSI info, claiming they didn't know any better and on and on. I finally said eff this and put music on and drank 2 beers in about 15 minutes. God, there is no escape from this crap...

You're at the beach and you are complaining that there is no escape from listening to morons on the radio about Deflategate??????

Dude, you need help.

That's what the beer was for...

In a manufactured scandal full of dumb things, that has to be in the top 5. A person would have to put in serious effort to come up with something that stupid.

The NFL collected the PSI data and they provided it to Wells. Where else could Wells have gotten that information? In addition, they sent it to the Patriots in March. How could anyone think the league was unaware of this info until May.

What makes this even more bizarre is that it's coming from a Patriots employee.

My assumption is that the only thing we'll hear from Mort is when either he or his phone records reveal his "11/12 balls" source in court, and then nothing ever again. And you know, I'd be okay with it playing out like that.
I'm much more concerned about who told him that than what he did after he was told it.

Agreed! and what rock is this Mort whisperer hiding under? [emphasis mine].

The ignorance of a sap like Mort doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the NFL didn't correct it and sent the Patriots a letter saying a ball was at 10.1 which was a blatant lie and put the Patriots on the defensive. It's disgusting as the NFL knew at halftime what the PSI was and there was no 10.1.

I'd like to know who gag ordered the Refs, though probably mandatory for an investigation, but couldn't it be leaked that the numbers floating around in public were inaccurate? If the numbers were worse than what was reported it's highly more probably than not, that information would have gotten to some journalist/reporter.

I'd like to get a timeline, sequence of events on who knew what and when. Who sourced this information and who corroborated it. I'm actually shocked the NFL didn't tell Walt to lie so the exponent numbers could look better (though people would say the numbers were originally reported correctly -- 10.1 -- and Kraft's buddy is covering it up.)

I called him a Christian liar, lol. Gawd forgive me.
