Not for nothing but it's WAY too long....as someone who's worked in government at many levels and with the state legislature on several projects, I can say this is too verbose. You would also want to mail hard copy to Healy and any and all correspondence, should really be kept to one page. Just my two cents....usually anything over one page just get scanned.

I guess these threads got merged.

A few points I'd like to make about any kind of boycott would be to keep it clear, concise, and targeted.
Any kind of tl;Dr tunes ppl out, and the best way to self sabotage a diet or workout program is to set unrealistic goals -- nobody's choosing a car over this, but they might switch off Pepsi for a few months, or get their pizza from somebody other than the papa.
Give ppl a clear and short list of those who support and enable this crooked nonsense along with alternatives.

Also, while many of us are pissed because our team was targeted, and want to support our guys, hammer on the #ethics side of this.
This has gone past ridiculous and is way into shady.

And don't worry about what everybody else does or doesn't do.
This is a team thing and if anybody here follows belichick or the pats they know the importance of simply doing your job.

I'd like to roll with the traditional #freebrady hashtag
Maybe we can put some concrete info together and go live independence day, of course

Holy crap, if you PAY to eat Papa John's pizza, you have far greater reason to disappointed in how your life has turned out than this.

No.

Get a life.

Fair enough....I'll still defend the wall till I die.... I'm not doing this for you. Tom Brady is an American hero, and I'm doing it for him!

Totally agree. We need to make a case for Tom Brady and how he and the Patriots have been treated. We should hammer the ethics (lack of due process, the presumption of guilt, the abuse of judicial powers).

Do you think you can write a brief summary of how Pats fans are morally troubled by the NFL, and therefore, feel morally obligated to boycott the sponsors.

I don't mind the hashtag #freebrady. What about the hashtag #NoBradyNoMoney?

@FCB02062 you're totally right. The petition should be shortened. Thanks for the feedback dude

Are you trolling at this point?

This is the type of stuff we get from time to time from Steeler fans who go back to their forums and laugh about the pranking they put on the Chowds.....

Honestly, your second silly petition is comical. Dr. Pain has it right in going after the government/Attorney General angle to look into whether the actions of January by the NFL in its misinformation to the public and the Gardi letter misinformation to the Patriots were a concerted effort to affect the betting lines on the Super Bowl.

I'm not trolling Patsfan.com. If I was trolling, I would intentionally try to offend people on this site. Do I have an agenda? Absolutely. But I'm definitely not trolling.

And don't you ever compare me to a Steeler fan...unless you wanna duel

Unless your name is in fact Chiuba Obele and the photo https://www.change.org/u/327890488 there is in fact you, I would not sign this. If it is you please accept my apologies but there are a tremendous amount of trolls on Boston.com and the Herald who use photos of black people to post and mock the president and former governor who was black. I can not see anyone ever taking this seriously in the AG office with this as it is and in fact would only hurt. I know I would not take it seriously. Again if this is in fact you, I apologize but this is a concern.

It is me....

So how would you change it? Is it too late?

Wow 35 signers unless than 12 hours. Good job people! Let's get this rolling!

Also, I am confused about the picture argument.

Don't want to put words in the good doctor's mouth but I believe he's saying that if Chiuba--the Patsfans poster--were using a falsified photo on his change.org profile it would be a bad look for him, the petition and Patsfans if he attached his name to the petition. Faking internet profiles is as old as...well, the internet, but if something like this is to be taken seriously (which, to be fair, it probably won't) we can't have folks screwing with fake profile photos (black, white, yellow or anything else).

Just my interpretation. Anyway, I signed. Hopefully this gathers some steam, I'd love to see the NFL get a taste of their own medicine.

<---------------------it's true...THAT'S me...Steve McJoker

Can I just lie about where I live? Would that work? I would just be signing the petition for another pats fan in MA who's too lazy to do it but feels the same way about the whole thing. :)

Yeah. Everyone should boycott Papa Johns and Pepsi for health reasons alone.

Alright, we're almost at 50 signatures. Let's keep this going fellas

It is Maura Healey not Maura Healy. Typo on the petition page
