Florio Rips NFL Response to Mortensen Report

Michel Smith said something similar on Mike and Mike at 6 this morning. Using the term "Golden Boy" is being used almost in that vein. Read up on Wells and his time at Holy Cross to add a bit more there. I was very impressed by Smith this morning.

Interesting, I want to look into this some more. It wouldn't suprise me in the least.

When you listen to the hardcore Patriots Haters, you'll find that their theories are based on what they believe happened, not anything supported by any real evidence.

Who's at fault for this nonsense? Everyone.

If Brady had come clean after the Super Bowl, I'm positive he would have received a fine and nothing more. Yes, I think Tom is guilty . . . guilty of a minor infraction that surely many other quarterbacks, kickers, punters, long snappers and centers are guilty of, as well.

But no, Brady had to have his chest all puffed out because his integrity is at stake. What he can't get through that highly cared for and groomed head of his is that even if he's exonerated, it won't change anyone’s mind. Those who believe him will still believe him. Those who hate him will continue to hate and think he cheated. This dog-and-pony show will not change a thing. Sorry Tom. -
Gary Tanguay

Every last one of them reads like that. They try to play off this BS 'neutral' observer or 'not a homer' act as some sort of truth, but everything they write/say is hollow. It's always wrapped in contempt for Tom and the Patriots. None of their opinions take all the facts into consideration. They just cherry pick to fit their agenda and get those clicks.

Not likely, based upon their recent history of their slant on this one, except for Dale and Holley. I could see them doing it, for sure. At one time Zolak might have, but now Bertrand likely wouldn't allow him to.
When did Bertrand become the boss?

When did Bertrand become the boss?
When Zolak deferred to him weeks ago. Zo's metamorphosis was completed today when he said he believed Brady was knowingly involved in the football deflation. He's officially become Bertrand's *****. How the valiant have fallen.

I seriously want to dislike this since you forced me to read Tanguay under false pretenses. At the very least, put a disclaimer in front of it. WARNING! The following two paragraphs are the opinion of a douche and don't reflect the thoughts of a rational or even marginally intelligent human being. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Zolak really said that today?

Yes, he did. Around 11:00 - 11:15, or so.

Wow, I am surprised. He's been all over Twitter cracking on Ted Wells...to about face like that is such a ***** move.

He's gradually become a different guy on air since Bertrand was brought in to "tone him down", which I admit is my theory as to why Gresh was greased.

I'm thinking Curran is next. He's even on the dog and pony show bandwagon a bit now. A bit. The entire Comcast crew needs to be fired. Expect for Curran and the girls. The higher ups must have said something. Bertrand is a complete tool now. It's sickening.

I think Tom is far away now from the guy who predicted not long ago that Brady would "rag doll" the NFL in court. And I REALLY like Curran. Far different tone from him this evening on Comcast. Agree with you, Viper, about most of that crew. Trenni Kusnierek is a cheese-head from Wisconsin, Kyle Draper is obnoxious and on and on. And that's just the Central crew. Early Edition and Sports Tonight...God what a crew.

Funny how quick it changes eh? All you have to do is hint at job security and your outlook changes. No way to run media. I forgot about Draper. He's meh in my opinion. I too really like Curran as well so here is what you need to do.

You can't get rid of Comcast or 98.5. So, you (I'm looking at you NESN) hire Curran and Giardi away. Have them run with C. Price the evening shows a la Sports Tonight. Air the afternoon Dale, Holley and Thornton show. I'm in AZ so I either listen to WEEI on my phone when I can or have something running on TV in then background. It would be nice to see something other than CM Outdoors or Dining Playbook reruns.

Finally, I'd force Trollin' Volin to be the set sweeper intern.

Then Bob Kraft needs to do everything he can to help them achieve that goal. So far so good.

He's not Commisioner. Goodfart and Tagliabue were and that has been the policy since at least Tagliabue.

If only kraft sued. If brady goes to court Iam not sure how all this is relevant as he wll be only fighting the discpline levied against unless of course its defamation.

What could Kraft sue for? He's one of 32 who agreed to accept any penalties levied by the cmish.

Seriously, I'd like to just know the basis of his suit as a team owner.

1000% agreement. Gresh and Zo were way too homerish for the suits that run the Sports Hob.

Balloon Boy Bertrand is a Felger disciple. So isn't Jones. Thats the formula for their operation.

Meanwhile....Back at the Hall of Justice...

WEEI is playing it right down the middle and their ratings have suffered.

I don't get why the 'suits' would care? It strikes me that its probably better business for a local station not to go out of their way to piss off their audience.

It's like Private Parts. They tune in because they don't know what you'll say. It'll get old at some point. I hope.

Leaving this here instead of starting a new thread

Florio said that given the evidence they had, it was incumbent upon Wells and his team of $1,000/hour white shoe lawyers to get Jim McNally and/or John Jastremski to crack, which they failed to do. “If these guys didn’t crack, if they didn’t confess, maybe there’s nothing to confess to,” he said. “Either way it’s incomplete. The science is bad, the non-scientific evidence is incomplete, and it was all cobbled together in a 243-page report that I believe that Ted Wells believed he was expected to reach. Regardless of whether he was expressly told that, or it was implicit, I believe that Ted Wells thought he was expected to find the Patriots were guilty, and he did the best that he could to come to that conclusion, and ultimately I think what he did wasn’t good enough.”

Don't worry Deus Irae, I've already disliked it for you.
