Source: Brady's testimony "not entirely credible"

So we're supposed to believe Brady was there for almost 11 hours and all he did was say "didn't do it?"

You forgot that this is America, where science is a matter of belief.

The timing of your post is lousy. "Science" is untrustworthy because of lousy scientists and analysts. This case makes that point.

I wouldn't pay any attention to this stuff, none of it means anything and is BS at its best.

I am just dying to have this go to court, if only to have the transcript released to the public ... that will clear this whole thing up

If a local radio host were to die tonight of auto-erotic asphyxiation and the same type of Wells investigation happened as the NFL did, do you realize how many people here could be set up?

Investigator "Well you posted on the day he died that he was a jerk and you hated him, why did you kill him"
Fan "But he died of auto-erotic asphyxiation"
Investigator "Stop trying to change the subject, you are being uncooperative"

Too much perhaps ;)

Maybe the auto-erotic asphyxiation part is to much, but the idea of Message Board poster or website commenters becoming suspects has already happened:

http://popehat.com/2015/06/08/depar...commenters-on-a-silk-road-post-at-reason-com/
The United States Department of Justice is using federal grand jury subpoenas to identify anonymous commenters engaged in typical internet bluster and hyperbole in connection with the Silk Road prosecution. DOJ is targeting Reason.com, a leading libertarian website whose clever writing is eclipsed only by the blowhard stupidity of its commenting peanut gallery.

Why is the government using its vast power to identify these obnoxious asshats, and not the other tens of thousands who plague the internet?

Because these twerps mouthed off about a judge.

Maybe he did tell the deflators to lower the psi in the game balls. We don't have any evidence to prove he didn't.

Other than the fact that the psi wasn't lowered, you are correct. So you are suggesting that they don't listen to his requests? That would seem to make the presence of any such requests more irrelevant then, no?

Just tuned in to the local (Wash DC) ESPN radio affiliate...Kevin Sheehan and Tom Loverro hosting....conducting an interview with Adam Shefter. Hadn't tuned in for quite some time, so was curious to hear local perspective on Patriots/DFG/TB etc. At any rate, Shefter takes it to yet another level, further praising and underscoring the performance by TB at the appeal hearing. Mentioned that, although he's not a close pal with Tom, he got to spend two full weekends with him associated with a BestBuddies charity event. He went on to say that Tom impressed him as being extremely sincere and genuine. Which makes me wonder how many local affiliates had Shefter on for his 5 minute report since last evening?? I can only imagine that this type of media response (the so-called turning of the tide) has necessitated the NFL's leak machine go into full "counter-battery" mode. And that's what we're seeing today. As many have already stated, this isn't about the truth, it isn't about the evidence, and it isn't about fairness....it's about power, and the political/legal wherewithal to wield such power.

Shefter also stated that he expected TB to go to trial if he received anything less than full exoneration.

While Sheehan seemed pretty supportive of Brady...and definitely skeptical of the NFL and its motives, Loverro kept harping on the "lack of cooperation aspect". Sheehan then reminded him about Brady's 7 hours of testimony, to no avail. So we're slowly starting to see the holdouts begrudgingly accept "the science", while pinning their hopes on the remaining flimsy shreds of "evidence". Unfortunately, pointing out that the cell phone issue (cooperation) would have never come into play...if the science had been understood...is simply futile. These folks remind me of the Japanese troops, holed up in caves well after WWII, refusing to believe that Japan had lost the war!!

We knew all along it would go to court. Basically its just confirmation bias - cops do it all the time. They decide someone is guilty - and keep on looking for a way to get him.

My prediction - not shocking - Brady will go to court. Win in court but the win will be far less exciting then people imagine. This is a contract law vs. labor law scenario - and labor law always wins out. Lucky for Brady the NFLPA can sign away every single right in existence - and yet still have a lot of rights - because they are a union. It's weird but I think the media and the rest don't really get this by and large.

So look for Brady to win on some unexciting labor technicality. They won't get into the 'dirt' of the NFL. Brady will be exonerated technically but not the eyes of the haters. The good news is that the fans know better..

The good thing about this is that there will be a transcript and people are free to talk then. I want one TV person to ask Goodell why they lied to the Patriots in the Jan 19 letter from the NFL on the PSI being at 10.1 and the Colts balls were fine. BTW the Patriots balls would have been at around 10.1 at the much colder Ravens game the week before. Yea no sting here.

PFT's story about Mortensen's false story and the failure by the league to correct it - Released 11:35 PM last night. It has 106 comments.

This story, posted at 1:06 PM today, is already at 188 comments.

It must be the negative news that brings out the PFT trolls.

Even though it was proven that the balls adhered to the IGL, the bad guys believe McNally and Jaz were told by Brady at some point to take air out of the footballs.

You can't fit stupid and can't fix ignorance.

Yeah I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and the anti-Brady leaks to begin. Fu.ck the NFL.
They are coming. 5pm Friday. Set your watch.

Goodell: Look, Tom. This is what I need you to do in order to convince me to remove the penalty given. You have 4 hours! Good luck, time starts now.

Schefter: Brady offered an explanation to everything per source

Florio: Per a league source, Brady simply reiterated his denial regarding any involvement in or knowledge of whatever it was that John Jastremski and Jim McNally may have been doing with the team’s footballs.

Direct contradiction of Schefter's report.....was this a trap laid by Brady's camp???

If so great tactic by Brady's team. Use the most credible source in probably all of sports, to throw out to the public good leaks that favor Brady.

Remember, this all went crazy with Mortonson's bogus leak.

This is stupid in homeric proportions. If the science says nothing happened (and it does), it does not make any difference if McNally and Jaz texted that they were going to flatten every ball in the league. Nothing happened. No offense occurred. This all stems from some grievance-mongering football meatheads in over their depth on trivial HS science and a herd of gossip-mongering sports "journalists" who make the football meatheads look like Einsteins.

The article is not stupid.

The article predicts that Goodell will behave badly. That is not a stupid opinion to have.

I really hate this July quote getting used. If every word these guys texted was taken literally, would that mean one of them actually has Dorito's as a penis?

My bad. I should have been more explicit that I was refering to the whole StingGate situation. There is no doubt that Goodell will behave in the most stupid way available to him.
