Why would you not turn off the TV the second you see Borges face?
Why would you be on that channel to begin with?

Touché. It is infested with contrarian swine. Though there are a few good guys (Curran) amidst the rot.

Even if this appeal ends how we expect it to, with Goodell being obstinate and not budging, it is really really heartening to see the national dialogue start to change and be less outright hostile toward Brady. I think Brady is really starting to pick up national support.

Whats this, Vector? Optimism?! :p

I can see Goodell debating it now:

"You know, Tom was really compelling and I truly believe that he is 100% innocent after hearing from him, but the rest of the owners think I went too lightly on him and the Patriots. Let me check the CBA and see if I can increase his suspension to eight games."

I don't care how compelling Brady was. This whole entire thing is a sham. Goodell will find a way to come to a decision where it makes it difficult for Brady to win in court and that is his primary goal.
You're right, now way goody backs down with the owners and fans of 31 other teams on the side of Brady's guilty and he plays for the cheatriots and Bill Bellicheat. He doesn't have the courage to do that or do what's right. His own ineptness painted him into this corner and I hope he gets backed in for good.

So I guess Troy Vincent was one of the witnesses called forth by Brady's team. I hadn't heard about that till now. Hopefully they grilled that ****y jerkwad after his condescending letter to a player and person so far above him that it is embarrassing.

FYI: Ignore the ridiculous comment of a Fishy fan at the end of the article, should you choose to read it. Not much new otherwise:

I had it on thinking maybe they'd talk to Curran but when I heard we'll talk with Ron Bogus next I switched to the Godfather Legacy.

Just watching the sports news media spouting off on this is depressing when this is really so simple. Primary question is, does science explain pressure drop? If so, and I believe it does, texts, phone calls, bathroom breaks, etc are all irrelevant. That only leaves possible non-cooperation and the penalty for that should be in line with Brett Farve's precedent of a $50K fine.

I don't believe that the reporters understand the perfect gas law, which is unfortunate since it is real simple. By my calculation, assuming a dry ball, a drop from 72 Deg F to 45 Deg F will result in a pressure drop from 12.5 psi to 11.1 psi. A wet ball, which allows the volume to expand, will result in a slightly lower pressure. These numbers are consistent with the reported Wells measurements, but most of the bozos reporting and commenting on this can't be bothered to figure it out.

Very frustrating!

I can share my methodology if anyone cares. It really is very simple.

They. Don't. Care. About. Science.

They only care about slandering Brady and Belichick. Any way they can. Facts and evidence be damned.

Kessler: "So, Mr. Vincent. Tell me: does the fact that Mr. Brady torched your lame ass up and down the field during your playing days ever spawn thoughts of 'retribution,' of finally 'getting even'? Hmm?"

Vincent: "Uh ... erm ... Well ... Um ... "

I would give it a day before the NFL starts leaking details that put Brady in a bad light. Probably 2 the first week, then one leak each week after until 6 weeks from now when Goodell upholds the suspension!

I just need to keep repeating to myself, "It's not about whats fair, its about the 31!!!

how in the world did brady ever let a slime bag like mike silver in his inner circle (well, that is what silver claims) .. that dude is a maroon ... plus, he blocked me on twitter

The earth is flat and only 5800 years old.

One thing I think the Goodell "learned" from the Ray Rice case is -- try to control the narrative. Then, wait a few days and see how it evolves and the act with prevailing opinion.

They didn't do that for Rice and they looked bad. In January, they leaked and did not correct false and prejudicial information. Then, they released the Wells report and monitored public information for a few days before acting.

I wonder if Schefter would have reported Brady had done well if it were just someone from Brady's camp. He might have heard it from an NFL source who leaked it to lay the groundwork for Brady's suspension being overturned. We'll see over the next several days.

Hey! Fitzy was in da house! (Or lurking nearby):
