Official Brady Appeal Thread: D-Day Tuesday June 23rd

I just wanted to remind people of something regarding deflategate:

The only 2 games for which we have evidence of PSI checks are the Jets game (claim of a postgame check during a McNally/Jastremski texting) and the AFCCG (claims of refs and Colts testing balls made in Wells report). In the case of the Jets game, the balls were overinflated, according to the only existing evidence. In the case of the AFCCG the science shows that the balls were within the expected range of balls that had NOT been deflated.

In other words, there is no evidence that footballs were ever tampered with by anyone except the NFL and the Colts.

boy, the league is really pulling out all the stops today

I bet Tom is pretty nervous
What do you mean? Trying to wear down Team TB12?

I'm surprised that this hearing has lasted this long, because I don't expect any leniency from Roger "Jetdell." This is going to court. Brady will get no justice from this hearing, IMO.
This is a dog and pony show

If he tries to lower the punishment, I really hope somebody challenges him about the picks then. I know they aren't but, the two punishments should be joint. It just doesn't make sense. That coward Kraft screwed the team.
Sense? Oh it makes sense. On Remulak.

is this appeal still going on?

Well, this is pretty surprising

NFL Total Access

It's all because the report is now worth less than toilet paper. The most anti-Patriots fans have seen it for what it is. Garbage.

Only certain media are keeping the guilty aspect alive. It's all they have and all they know how to do. They have made a pact with the devil and have nowhere else to go.

I wonder if kessler if filibustering....

Herr Goodell probably doesn't know what that is. Wells' flask has probably been drained so he's of no use either. So, Kessler is probably popping Advils left and right dealing with these children.

He should get a medal.

Everyone is so far down the rabbit hole, and convicted him long ago, that they cannot retreat. They would lose all credibility (they already have, but they don't see it that way) and say they got it wrong.

As I've said before, any news should have been from the NFL. Period. Any unsubstantiated info-looking at you Uncle Mort, would never have been acted upon as fact. That's how we are where we are.
Let's be clear - Goodell has already lied under oat with the Rice incident. I don't think there is any low he won't go to cover his buttocks.

But the longer this goes today the better for TB. I hope Kessler is raking them over the coals and coaxing every little detail of the BS out of them.

Ted Wells right about now.

Pash and Kensil during a break, relaxing on the back of their stout fearless leader, Seabiscuitdell...

Your not saying this is a dog and pony show are you.

This actually surprises me.
The thing is years from now maybe many years from now people will look back any say what an incompetent commish goodell was. He allowed members of his front office to try and tarnish an nfl icon. While brays stature will grow goodell legacy will be one of a bumbling fool.

Greg Aiello...NFL senior vice president of public relations for the National Football League and key partner of Goodell...yup...Syosset, NEW YORK born bred and Jet fan...in the room today...jeezus, can't make this stuff up. Another Long Island bred Pats hater in NFL offices.

"The science proves that the balls weren't deflated".
"I agree. I've seen the reports that prove this. But the texts prove that Brady knew McNally and Jastremski were deflating footballs"

Remember the trial of Socrates. In the guilt phase the main argument was that Athens was such a great society that if Athens brought the charges they must be true. 280 out of 500 jurors voted he was guilty.

Then in the sentencing phase, the argument was that if you're guilty of a crime against a society as great as Athens with a crime so grave that the death penalty is on the table, the death penalty is therefore the right answer (rather than the other alternative, a monetary fine). 360 jurors voted for death, 14o for a fine.

So 120 jurors voted that Socrates should be put to death for a crime that they did not believe he committed.
