There is also the recently-coined "FBOI" (Festering Boil of Imbecility) that has more general application, but could certainly be applied to an MCI.

You have to wonder how long the Globe can go with Volin as the 'lead' Patriots reporter. It would be one thing if Gasper was doing more than columns most of the time, or if Young was any good. Given the circumstances, though, they've got to be looking into the possibility of making a change.

He's definitely angling for an NFLN or ESPN reporter job. Had NFLN on mute in the office this morning and saw his punchable face on there outside the NFL offices. Had zero interest in unmuting it because I had an idea what garbage he was spewing. I would say his anti-Pats takes are just a "hey national guys, look at me" act but it's clearly not an act.

He's basically trying to take the Breer route to a national job instead of the Reiss or Bedard way. But that is obviously because he isn't great at what he is suppose to be doing.

Because remember MCI replaced Bedard, who replaced Breer, who replaced Reiss.

OK...why are folks calling Trollin' Volin MCI?
