Official Brady Appeal Thread: D-Day Tuesday June 23rd

THAT is crux of the matter!!!!!!

The NFL in TWO instances, purposefully gave out incorrect PSi measurement information to the press and privately to the Patriots:

1) The leak to Mort

2) the official letter to the Patriots

Both were instances where the NFL knew full well what the measurements were, yet disseminated misinformation.

Game. Set. Match.

Any court in America could clearly see that the "investigation" was a frameup simply based on that clear truth.
Embarrass Goody in court so bad he's forced to return the picks.

Brady's legal team is in the middle of the hearing. If they were the ones who leaked these letters, it was yesterday or this morning, well before the NFL put out a statement trying to refute the (apparently accurate) information contained in them. Pretty incredible that Adam Schefter had the evidence on hand to publicly demonstrate that his sources are reliable and verifiable, really.

Corrects Adam had the info, tweeted the info baits the NFL into a lie :D

How have there been no leaks at the proceedings so far? Did they take everyone's phone before being allowed to enter the room?

Can you imagine being the judge/appellate arbiter who finds out that the NFL lied about the amount of time they were giving the defense? Even if the time is considered acceptable by the appellate body, they'll already know that the league can't even be honest about procedure.

To quote Mr. Benigno:

"What a disaster"

And I don't even get why they did it. If it weren't for the PSI leaks and all the other misinformation that came out from NFL officials during the campaign, I would be 100% certain that this is a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing, rather than a malicious lie. Even if Schefter didn't have the letter on hand, think about how easy this would have been for Kessler and Brady to refute just a few hours after getting out of the hearing, and with hard evidence including a letter from the NFL league office's attorney. If it really is a planned lie, it's a super incompetent and pointless one. And for what? So they can say that they were willing to give Brady 7 hours to make his case instead of 4? Is that worth the risk of being publicly embarrassed like this? I just don't get what the commissioner's office is doing right now.

The Keystone Cops think that the NFL has made a mess of things.

There will be...in the next few weeks to gauge public opinion before deciding what to do with the appeal.

Yes but those matter if the team fights. Brady's defense is only lumited to the science and him explaining the texts. What all crap nfl did will come if a defamation or some other suit is filed I think.Of course I have not much idea of legal stuff so Iam most likely off.

Defamation of Character, when a person lies about you and the process then penalizes you......

Blandino lies about knowing in advance about Colts complaint

False leak to Mortenson about the ball psi which the NFL CHOSE NOT TO CORRECT which set the media narrative and public perception.

Lying about how much time Brady was allowed to clear his reputation.

F Goodell.

Probably. They're supposed to have all the evidence and counsel on location, so there's no legitimate reason for any of them to privately communicate with the outside world, so yeah they may well have taken everyone's phones away.

Dont mess with Schefter!

NFL attorney Greg Levy spelled out in this memo the time limits placed on Brady defense team:

I love how the letter states that "Because the player has the burden, he will present first and have the majority of the allotted time."

Nice. We've had a top flight hired gun conduct an investigation with no limits on time or budget, and no opportunity to examine, question or contest the evidence, inferences, assumptions or findings of what amounts to a spectacularly one-sided witch hunt. The burden of proof is then placed on "the player" who is given four hours (and a possible bonus hour) to present his side.

Wow. Is this taking place in China or Iran?

Neither does the Commish. No one knows anything anymore about this whole ****ing mess.

if the judge who eventually takes this case in court takes a look at it all, he should just dismiss it all on a act of lunacy.

Funny that Wells gets 7 hours with McNally but Brady only gets 4 on his own appeal. 5 on good behavior.

That's OK, Brady will ask for another appeal and the NFL will be guilty of not cooperating if they don't grant it. They will also ask for Kensil's phone and he will be guilty of leaking if he refuses to hand it over.

Man, things are really looking up........ ............

My finding is that Roger Goodell was generally aware of Kensil's frame job, I sentence him to twenty years back in the Jets front office.

You never know with the international flights. Domestic no question.

Maybe I missed something, but is there some evidence that for some reason he's using a commercial airline for travel?

Probably not. When if it does, will be within a week. I will tell after that. Not huge but fun a nice jab which could bring something more depending on the breaks.
Have you found any media members you wanted to email your info to yet? Curran is cool, how about him?

I'm trying to catch up on all of this. Did the NFL spokesman (Aiello?) just blatantly lie about the time Brady would be given?

That's why it's in the basement. No signals. :)

I'm sure BB and Ernie have a super secret phone signal magnifier built into Kesslers phone. Not Brady's mind you, but no one is asking for Kesslers phone. ;)
