Dear Patriots Season Ticket Member,

The 2014 Season was filled with memorable moments and a triumphant finish that Patriots fans will cherish forever. Before your Super Bowl Champion Patriots return to Foxborough to begin their 2015 campaign, we want to invite you to have your picture taken professionally with the Lombardi Trophy.

Team is reaching out to season ticket holders for a professional photo with the Super Bowl trophy at no expense. This is unprecedented, clever and, in my view, a response to the PR hit they took from Kraft's concession.

EDIT: There is no mention of cost in the letter and I assumed it was no cost. Looking back after reading Tunescribe's note, they don't say it is free either. The time slots are all unavailable, suggesting a high response rate as Deus anticipates. If there is a charge, it would be sleazy not to mention it in the letter.

They'll see how many people are as willing to sell out as they are. Sadly, the number will probably be high.

Why is it selling out to go pose with the picture?

I am not quitting football, I will try and spend a little less, but I am not depriving myself of enjoying moments like these.

They won't let you take your own photo with the Lombardi. They have their own photographer and don't say on the "offer" if you're required to pay ... I'd like some clarification on that little detail.

They held trophy viewings following some of the other winning seasons. They were free then so it didn't occur to me it wouldn't be now. They didn't have a professional photographer but I would still be surprised if there is a fee.

Their specification of having a "professional photographer" take the pictures raised my $$$ red flag. I might consider doing it if it's free but otherwise no way.

It's business. THIS is what Kraft has always been good at. Of course it will cost you money.

If I really wanted a pic, I'd take one of the trophy and then pay a studio to airbrush a pic of me holding it.

Yes of course. I am so naive. To not even mention that they are charging a fee for this privilege is not making me feel warm and fuzzy towards this organization. Sadly, many are lining up, wallets at the ready.

Wholly crap guys. Screw Kraft and bash him all you want just don't spite yourselves trying to do it.

I am fairly positive this whole thing is free. Getting a time slot was absolutely free. I suppose they could charge on the back end like the FanFoto guys at Fenway but I would be surprised if that's the case.

I don't know why I am defending Kraft other than I hate to see guys miss out on cool opportunities because of spite. I will be really pissed at myself for defending them here if there turns out to be a fee.

Not buying a Tshirt at the pro shop or not buying concessions is one thing but to skip out on the Lombardi trophy is another. If you can't still find joy in that then why are you even still here just walk away.

I never said that they were going to charge for it. I said that this is a way to work the suckers in order to get them to sell out.

Anyone with a set of testicles between their legs should send a letter back to the team telling them to blow it out their ass.

People can express their displeasure in any way they chose. After all, isn't it the fans who are paying?

I'm going to wait and see how it all shakes out, but right now I'm leaning toward dumping the NFL when Brady leaves. That would give me 55+ years as a Pats fan. I could call them the Golden Years.

I don't need a picture with the Lombardi. Nothing can beat the feeling I had when I watched Kurt Warner wading through a sea of smiling Pats players and fans with our trophy in his arms. That's the picture I'll keep in my memory.

Unless you are completely quitting football then we are all selling out in some way.

I think I've made it clear that I'm done when Brady's done, unless Goodell's gone and things are put to right. I'm also not buying into Kraft's ********. You're welcome to eat heaping plates of it, if you wish.

Wow I didn't realize that. You will be missed. And that's certainly your right. I can't quit so I am selling out in some ways so I am certainly not going to miss the fun stuff.

Sounds about right. As I understand it, the NFL is a revenue sharing league and most of the revenue comes from television networks, who get their money from large corporate advertisers, who buy ads because lots of folks watch the games. So merely watching the games on TV lines the pockets of Goodell, Kensil, Pash, Kraft and the rest of the NFL.

Contacted Season Ticket Office. They stated you will get a printable ticket for event. There will be NO charge for the photo taken. Just have to RSVP with your account info. In 2-3 days you can go on your account to Manage my tickets to print out tickets
