OT:Uh oh another MLB scandal involving the Sox?

BREAKING NEWS: Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval benched, admits that was him liking photos of woman on Instagram during game. Said he was using bathroom at the time.

Likegate is on! Integrity of the game ruined, even baseball players get bored of baseball. Ban Sox from the postseason? Or on second thought maybe force them to play in the playoffs?

Even baseball players can't make it thru a whole game!

According to Bob Costas if instagram was disbanded this whole incident could have been avoided. Thoughts?

If only Tomsula was Sox head coach this scandal would never have happened! Poor Sandoval just needed his 15 mins social media break!

There's no way John Ferrell and the ownership was unaware. Sounds like direct orders to keep players occupied. Huge punishment has to be laid down.

I'll need a lobotomy or some really high-powered chemicals to scrub my brain of the image of Panda on the throne pounding out likes on his smartphone.

Someone should hire Exponent (maybe better to get the guys at AEI) to use a regression analysis to project Panda's weight at the end of his 5 year contract. Over/under is set at 600 lbs.

I imagine there are rules against this sort of thing but it would be really cool if the Sox could somehow trade him to the Bruins. He'd make a hell of a goalie - it would be almost impossible to score on someone who is 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide.

All kidding aside, this is just another example of a franchise that is an utter, total, complete feck-up from top to bottom.

People in Boston need to either not attend home games or to mercilessly boo them if they do attend.

Players get on their phones all the time. They play 162 games, so it's a little grueling. Panda got caught and along with his refusal to stay in shape deserved to be benched, but this is not among the many valid reasons to question the team's leadership.
