Thanks for the insights FG. On Kraft's reasoning for caving to the League, I think that's a lot of BS. The moment he caved was the moment the Pats were permanently and FOREVER branded our team as self confessed cheaters. There is no letting "the noise die down". The consequences of his actions make sure the "noise" will NEVER die down. It is mind boggling that he doesn't understand that.

However if that reasoning was the why he did it, it does provide us with a little be of insight, but it doesn't change the fact that it was an incredibly BAD choice. Not that we all haven't made a bunch of them in our lifetimes. I'd be willing to start to forgive him, if he just came out publicly and stated to his fans that he now understands what a back decision it was.
I made a clarification to FGS point to make sure it was clear that this was an opinion of what someone thought Kraft was thinking. He said he did not have direct knowledge of his exact reasoning.

I took this more as him focusing on the end the rhetoric comments rather the the other 31 comment.

He said again without direct knowledge that he feels Kraft hears the reactions and is hurt by them but he feels he was doing what was best for the team.

You can argue wether it was but I don't think you can argue the story has died somewhat since Kraft caved. It will never end and you are right the branding is likely permanent but the constant conversation has died down.

It will pick back with Brady's appeal. But you have to admit the story lost some steam after Kraft caved and while we wait for Brady.

Still doesn't make it the right move but this guy felt Kraft did what he(Kraft) thought was best and will stand by it.

The story died down because every single media outlet had covered it 24/7 for weeks and finally there was nothing new. Not because of Kraft's self-serving kiss up to the 31 and kiss off of the fans.

Awesome story, how do you get into this dinner?

Very cool.

Yeah, how DO you get into this dinner?
Deep pockets....suite people?

BTW...as a Rev's sason ticket holder I get to see the progress on the deep nob hill pub at the south end....going to really suck when the Patriots score on that side....suck really bad unless the players run to the side after scoring like the soccer players. Going to have people cheering with martini glasses and margaritas in their hand lol.

The south end was nice because it does not have the open area the north side has ... now it is ruined for the nob hill pub. Friggin Kraft cut us to only 1 minuteman also....WTF.

I think it was the Gillette Stadium twitter feed a week or so showing a shot of something and you could see the end zone area. It looks...odd.

Gotta be one a them 1% ers that the board hates.

LOL -- no we are not 1% ers or suitep people..just "common" season ticket holders.

This is an experience that anyone can get via NFL Visa rewards. I try to use the card for everything to get points, he'll, we even pay our mortgage with it!!

Even worse than that. My daddy took me. The great @fgssand. Thank you so much!

All you got to do is have the Visa Patriots Extra Points card and spend some serious coin to earn frequent flyer miles toward Patriots experiences. In my opinion other than tickets, which my daddy already has covered, it is the best reward in their whole reward program.

I am 32 by the way and my pops still takes us to the games and gives us a 20 for a dog because that's how he shut us up as kids so he could watch. He really is the best Dad out there.

I know what you mean, I continually go back and forth with disappointment for his sell out on one hand and then I try to listen to what what he said and what led him to his decision, as expressed by the people we spoke with, that being there was nothing to gain by going rogue. It was a fight that could not be won, so just end it. In doing so let the noise go away and quietly throw in for Brady.

This is just an awful offshoot of this whole mess, he IS the best owner is all of sports and he did save football for New England. It's easy to look back but at the time, he did overpay and he did put his neck on the line, when he could have sold out for millions and let the club go to St Louis, I cannot forget that. I also cannot forget what I felt when he threw the towel in a few weeks ago either.

This SUCKS.

It's obnoxious and it's going to look way out of place. It's a way for the deep pocket snob fans to get closer to the field without having to interact with the peon fans. Is there a such thing as a segregated stadium? Where fans are divided according to their personal wealth?

It is still half built but I was checking out the space when I was at the stadium for this. I don't think it will be a sore thumb at all. Most of it is tucked under the seats that remained in that end. It's like this First row of seating then about 5-10 yards of exposed roof then 5-10 yards of a patio.

First row will still be a damn good end zone seat not all that much further than some other stadiums. And if the fans fill in on the Patio it could look pretty cool when TDs happen.

I dont disagree with your other part about a segregated stadium.

From what I've seen it will look like it's always been there and belongs.

I have changed my mind and think it was not necessary to do but that doesn't mean it will look bad.

Another good question was when someone asked about his football mentors and got into how he had 5 different jobs in 4 cities with 4 different coaches in his first 5 years out of college so he didn't have one specific mentor. But he credited that kind of change as allowing him to see a lot of different systems and schemes and was able to come up with things he liked and didn't like about each. Things where he said if I were on charge I would never do this.

He obviously mentioned growing up with football with his dad.

But what I really found interesting were the 3 names he did finally throw out there. He didn't really call them mentors as it was much later in his life but he did include 3 coaches he felt had the biggest impact on him. Scar, Ernie Adams, and Nick Saban.

That may have been an opportune time to ask just what Ernie Adams does.

Inquiring minds want to know.

have you received your pictures from the event yet?

Umm, every stadium is already segregated that way. o_O
