Red Sox 2015 Season ...............

The Red Sox need to restrain themselves from making trades with St Louis.
Mujica, Craig, Kelly........crappy players costing the team $30 mill + ...all the while Lackey is having a nice season at $500 k.
The Red Sox are to the Cardinals what the Dodgers are to the Red Sox....dumping grounds.

And today, firing the pitching coach....which seems reasonable because the entire staff is pitiful.......But why not the hitting coach. Similar sucktitude by his disciples. Never seen so many batters under the mendoza line

I agree with the above. As of today it's obvious that we would be better with Lester & Lackey instead of Porcello, Kelly & Craig. Another Fail for Benny Cherry.

Total....$149.4 mill of salary THIS YEAR.........and they ALL ARE TERRIBLE. Every wasted $$$ has Cherington's finger prints on it (Buchholz is a Theo creation)
Here's the questions going forward.
Does Boston have the guts to sit Ortiz so his 2016 contract doesn't vest?
Who will be in charge of spending next offseason to replace Victorino, Napoli, Ortiz (hopefully), Masterson....That's $55 mill in freed up cash to spend. Does Henry trust Ben again?.
I look at the every day players on the above list and can't get past how unathletic a group they are (except Castillo who could fail a drug test any day now).
Sure...when Ortiz finally retires/Napoli exits.....the Sandoval/Han Ram duo will get redeployed and hopefully that will shore up two horrendously defended positions......but that leaves two every day slots to be filled again.

Everything about this organization - from the front office to the manager to the players - is rotten to the core. Every move made is the wrong one, and the only ones who seem to care are Pedroia & Holt.
This Dominican clique needs to be lanced like the festering sore that it is, including its ringleader the loud-mouthed, washed-up Ortiz who, if he were a true leader, would have DEMANDED that the Fat Panda come to ST in the best damn shape of his life.

I feel sorry for Pedroia & Holt. The rest of them - except for maybe Bogarts & Swihart - can suck it.

The reality in today's MLB is that team's sign the best young players early....leaving a bunch of wart riddled "names" in the FA pool. If your drafting/development system fails as badly as Boston's, you overpay for over the hill one tool players. Think of all the pitchers Boston has drafted over the past decade.......with NOTHING to show for it. Epic failure.........and the solution is to overpay for other team's cast offs.
The future is bleak. The kids have no power, the fatties have no athleticism, the pitchers are a collection of JAGs. Imagine Masterson cashing $9 million in checks this year after his 2014 failures? Reclamations should cost league minimum....yet Boston always overpays for garbage disguised as "hope." And they keep repeating this failed formula year after year.
Henry's assets are failing (in the win column....not the P&L column) on two continents. Like in Boston, his FA purchases at Liverpool have also been a disaster this year. Each team can't score, can't defend....with too many underwhelming overpaid players in their wrong natural positions.
Henry should move on......His futures trading system ran its course (I know employees that work there), his money ball baseball system is failing now that all teams can spend, and he has no business in soccer. Wishful thinking

I'll also add Uehara to the very, very small list of those who are even remotely earning their money, though he certainly isn't the lights-out closer he was 2 years ago.

Captain......you were pitching a no hitter until you brought Johnny Gomes into the equation. The infamous "Gomes presence" has yet to impact his latest team...the Atlanta Braves....his 6th different team. I just don't see everyday star MLB players rallying behind this jarhead hack with an oversized sense of self worth......IMHO

TBH, I had forgotten where he was playing until I saw the Sux-Braves game and he made a terrific catch in LF.

I don't understand why you want to keep Ramirez. he's a complete dog. he would be the first person i would dump but nobody would take him unless the sox ate at least half his contract. he's a lazy stiff who can't play defense and a locker room cancer. bogaerts was so bad last year that people think he's having a all star year. he isn't. we were led to believe he was going to be this great offensive player. were are the hrs? he's got three. that's it. where are all the rbi? he's on pace to get 80 at best, maybe im wrong but i thought he was going to be a 325 20 home run 100 rbi kind of player. start by firing bill james and Cherington. i don't want either of them making roster decisions. there isn't anybody on the current roster that i wouldn't be open to trading.

I am convinced John Henry keeps shopping for the groceries and Cherington is the yes man for it.

The sad thing is Ben pulled off a miracle with the Dodgers to clear all those bad contracts just a few years ago. Win another World Series and then they go go right back to bad contract hell as if they didn't learn their lesson.

No way the Dodgers are gonna buy another parakeet without its head again.

We are stuck with these bums for awhile. Why would a contender want to add Porcello to their roster? To help them fall out of contention?

These signing s make the fried chicken era look favorable and that is not a good thing.

The reason Theo left and the reason Ben has sucked is one man...Larry Luchino. He is a cancer
