Sal: "Talking to people close to situation, Brady wants entire suspension removed & wants to be exonerated. Feels he's done nothing wrong."

Get em' Brady!

The hearing for Tom Brady to appeal his four-game Deflategate suspension is a week away, and the NFL Players Association has sent the NFL a letter decrying the Ted Wells Report that formed the basis of the Brady suspension.

In the letter, according to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, the Wells Report is described as containing “dubious, contradictory and mischaracterized circumstantial evidence” which fails to prove Brady did anything wrong.

The NFLPA also says that even if the Wells Report had proven that Brady was involved in deflating footballs, a four-game suspension is excessive.

According to Paolantonio, Brady would not be satisfied with a reduced suspension: He wants to be fully exonerated and not suspended at all, feeling he has done nothing wrong. And Patriots owner Robert Kraft believes that’s exactly what will happen, that Brady will win his appeal and will play Week One.

Not exactly a shocker there. I think there is a good chance we see two court challenges - the Federal court case to wrestle the appeal away from Goodell and a defamation case. I think Brady has a good shot at the defamation case because there is enough evidence that shows Wells twisted the facts to make him guilty and of course if he can prove anyone from the NFL leaked any of the damaging reports about him and the Patriots.

Sal Pal lays out how ridiculous the penalty is in this video. The suggest fine for a team is $20k and Brady is being fined based on lost pay checks of over $1.2 million.

Big news. So Brady will take it to court and play opening day no matter what with an injunction.

Image what would happen if he just starts in game 1 against the Steelers if his suspension isn't overturned.

What would they do then?

Probably suspend the entire team for the season.

Looks like this fight is going the distance. Brady is very different than Bob.:D

For Brady it's about principle and protecting his legacy. Fortunately for him, he's in a rare situation financially to go to war in a court room and can easily sustain the litigation costs to do it.

If he truly believes and feels strongly that he was innocent, then I won't be surprised to see him viciously fight this with the same intensity he approaches the game of football and every other aspect of his life.

All you leave this earth with is your name and your reputation... You don't bring your bank account, your fancy cars or your billionaire buddies club.

Pay attention Kraft, you could learn something about true character from the GOAT!

What Tom will spend on legal fees is what Gisele spends on Rodeo Drive in an afternoon-not including lunch at Panera Bread :p.

Well yeah because lack of cooperation and stuff.

Goodell will enforce the suspension for the integrity of the league!
The rest of the 31 will think it is great! By punishing Brady for this or anything will cause Goodells approval rating from other 31 fans to increases.
That is why it was important for Kraft to stand up. Not to win or lose, just to stand in the face of adversity and speak the truth!
It is not now, nor has this ever been about integrity! It has been about slapping the Pats down pure and simple.

Shoddy reporting. How exactly does Sal Paolantonio know that Bob Kraft "believes" that Brady will be fully exonerated. Kraft just capitulated to the Commissioner, accepting the loss of two draft picks and some money. Unless they leaked a deal between the NFL and Kraft, I doubt that Paolantonio has any idea what Bob Kraft believes Goodell will do. I also doubt the NLRB will allow Goodell to hear the appeal, or will overturn the appeal and appoint a truly objective mediator.

I found the part about what Kraft thinks to be somewhat interesting. I don't trust Kraft or sports reporters but the feel of that comment is that Kraft thinks Brady will win the appeal with Goodell. Meaning no courts.
