luv watching it from 12:40 mark of 4th QTR trailing 24-14 and watchin Brady go to work.

My boys and I were watching highlights of SB39 this morning and my ears perked up when the announcer said, "and with that field goal the Patriots have put history on their side since no team has ever overcome a 10 point deficit in the 4th quarter to win a super bowl."

The score at the time, coincidentally enough, was 24-14. :)

Thanks for the correction. I guess I'm so used to Gronk getting manhandled that I think of most penalties against the Pats defense as ticky tack.

To be fair to you, the penalty was a lot more ticky tack than the one LaFell had to overcome to make his game winning one handed catch.

Amazin how announcers left that little gem out huh?

Every other fan will just disregard that and say how the patriots were one of the worst against short runs or goaline runs or something. They will totally disregard the fact that on a 3rd and 1 earlier in the game where the seahawks had 2 wide receivers stacked on both sides the patriots decided to put every man in the box, just like the goal-line play at the end of the game, and Lynch got tackled for a loss. Opposing fans enjoy being in denial.

My belief is that Carroll was correct to call pass, but not that pass.

Yes, there should have been something much safer in the playbook--particularly for that kind of important scenario.

You're on point there man, couldn't have called a more risky play than that. Throw a fade or something outside not a low throw over the middle. A million different things could have gone wrong on that play and it was fatal. But hey good news for us right

It's been debated to death about why Belichick never called timeout....but after re-watching that Super Bowl this week again, I felt like yelling at the TV..."Call timeout!!!"

How great was Lafell last year. He was a nobody in CAR. I didn't think he would pick up the playbook that quickly. I think many on this board were thinking right after he signed he would just be another Chad Jackson or Joey Galloway.

Rob Ninkovich is like a a police officer---He eventually gets to the scene but it takes him forever to do so. Every sack he has made for the Pats is like 5 hours after the ball is hiked--but thankfully they are HUGE plays

Belichick's ability to process the time left on the game clock, the play clock and the Seahawks timeout situation at the end is just phenomenal. While most of us were wondering when the hell he was going to call a timeout, he knew that's exactly what Seattle wanted. Patriots call timeout there and every play is a run, and Lynch is your MVP.

While on the surface i agree with you; i believe we all "frequently forget the invisible man" ERNIE ADAMS, BBs football soul mate hidden behind the curtain. IMO BB was listening far more than he was thinking as almost a minute ticked away while we all held our collective breath. This particular situation is one of the most important opportunities for Ernie Adams to earn his keep and i think Ernie's advice is what caused BB not to call a timeout. If i am right kudos to Ernie for a job well done.

Yup and puttin on those glasses on that makes them see and interpret what they choose to beLIEve. In your paragraph above, key word bein Denial.

Overlooked on Butlers Int. Was how bad of a pass Wilson throwed(That is not a word).

Nevermind the play call, brady hits that look 10 times out of 10.

Low at that front of the end zone high at the back. Wilson threw high, awful ball. Hell of a play by Malcolm, b/c that should of just been a incomplete pass. with a half decent throw.

Most underrated thing in this play

Stork completely taking Michael Bennett out of it.

Just look at him just drive him out of the way putting him to the turf which allows Brady a clean lane to run up in.

I really overlooked Storks block on that play, good call. Wendell also did his job on said play. Either way, hell of a job by the Oline.

Yup, Lafell was manhandled on that play and still made the catch. Just an amazing catch and throw by Brady and Lafell. One of the greatest plays in Pats history if you ask me.

There were so many good teams last season. We somehow played them all in the regular season. We beat all of them but 1. And then beat 3 really good teams in the playoffs. And all anybody wants to talk about is how the GOAT is a "cheater".

Watching the Ravens Pats game again right now. That double pass to Edelman and Dola was insane. Crazy, just crazy.

This Ravens game is absoulty bonkers. What a game, wow..

That double pass just never gets old. I could watch that over and over and over.:)

I was watching the 1st Jets/Pats game when the jets were 1-6. Sexy Rexy's look of disappointment and defeat was just pure bliss! They had many shots of his body language during the game hehe :D

I am a bit under the influence right now, so bare with me. Is that the game with this TD to Dola?
