And then the cops find the surveillance video from the bar where he was drinking, subpoena cell phone records to triangulate his phone and his cousins phone, charge them both with perjury and the NCCI inmate football team has a defender worthy of going against AH.

Lol..probably. Anyway, we're on to Dane Fletcher

Tbh, I'm not sure how I feel about cutting a guy before the facts are out but I gotta think the Patriots know more than we do. And this isn't about Spikes but just in general. Obviously Hernandez was a different case though.

wild rumor I got says the guy is hurt. Driving in excess of 120mph, he did not even see what he hit, so it was not an attempt to lie, but what he more probable than not thought it was.

As someone else pointed out, if it was him behind the wheel, he's lucky he was driving a car based on its excellent reputation for safety. Many other cars may have had him permanently injured or worse. This is a situation where 500k really comes in handy.

I wouldn't expect anything other than a JAG as the #4 LB anyway.

I like Morris I thought he showed some promise prior to his injury in the final preseason game last year.

A lot of teams would have an up and coming player as the number 4 LB.

I look around the NFL and see a lot of teams that would be lucky if they had an up and coming player as their #2 LB.

Wells could very well develop into an up and coming player.

Perhaps because Belichick does it almost every year ...seamlessly at that ....but I have 100% confidence that Bill will sign a cut player in August or September and turn them into a competant role player.

The model is here and proven of the players who have done this and earned more cash the next year elsewhere. You want to revive a career well New England is a great place to do it and the small amount of reps allows a player to do it without wearing down.

In other words I am not worried for LB or CB for that matter. 2 or maybe 3 role players for our 53 are not yet here ... but they will be soon enough.

@MikeReiss: Charges: 1. Leaving scene of personal injury crash; 2. Operating vehicle negligently to endanger; 3. Speeding; 4. Not within marked lanes.

@McCannSportsLaw: Under Massachusetts law, Brandon Spikes faces up to 2 years behind bars if he's convicted of Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Crash.

some of these guys just dont have any common sense. mind boggling.o_O

Or they are just so used to being given a pass on everything as star athletes, combined with the youthful tendency to think they are invincible.

Add million dollars salaries and lots of free time on their hands, it's a wonder it doesn't happen more often.

As always I'll reserve judgement until I get some sort of glimpse into the facts - specifically if he was actually driving.

If he was and hit them he's a scumbag of the highest order and **** Florida.

**** you too.

So......

Spikes released

We could be reading those words in a whole different context sometime down the road.

I marvel at how easily some people can turn a good situation in their lives into a horrible one in a bling of an eye. The closest I've come to doing that is when I got married.

Some are too hooked on adrenalin in a negative way.
