Yeah, and then you won't be able to sign anyone else. This league has a salary cap. In other words, you can't exceed a certain amount of total payroll.I remember reading a story that said something about Kraft telling Brady that he couldn't pay him top dollar when his contract was up last time. If that's true then that explains a lot of these stupid statements coming from Kraft. You pay the greatest QB of all time whatever he wants.
He posts from the swill of New Jersey ...Interception is definitely a troll.Ban this ignorant troll.
In reading the whole article Reiss posted, I don't think this particular quote is fair. It looks wishy-washy, but when viewed alongside everything else, it seems clearer to me that Kraft is supporting Brady & the team. He's not doing so passionately, but I wouldn't expect that from Bob Kraft. He's putting out statements that won't ruffle any other owner's feathers, but still support his guys.
Ban this ignorant troll.
I disagree. BB does not use weasel words or pat himself on the back. He would say nothing or we will play with the players we have not "those that deserve to play" BS.
I never could have imagined that my buddy Bob would ruin the NFL for me and kill my passion for the Pats. But alas, the little prick did.
I may not even make it to 10,000 posts now.
Damn you Bob.
My feeling is Kraft has to have inside info that will (or would) implicate Brady in some way. No other explanation for his throwing Brady under the bus like he has. NONE.Has he shown any public support for Tom since his 31 comment?
This is another example of why I've become more of a lurker than participant. It's hard to keep interested when the fans seem to care more about the team and its players than the owner. Most of what I hear, see or read about the Pats usually just makes me annoyed, angry, or pissed off, since the owner has informed me that he has accepted that I am a fan of a team that cheats, regardless of the lack of evidence. How can I defend my team when the owner refuses to do so.
It is almost incomprehensible how one extraordinarily bad decision has undone 20 years of extraordinarily good ones. Intellectually it really doesn't seem fair, but emotionally I can't help it. As off right now I don't want to hear word one from the man. He has killed the passion for a team I followed passionately since the day it was founded in 1960 when I was 12.
Now I don't follow much of anything about the NFL because I know its likely that when the Pats are mentioned, it's likely nothing good will be mentioned, and the injustice of that annoys me.. The Patriots and "deflategate" are now irreversibly linked, and unless or until I can come to terms with that I can only allow myself to remain at an arms length, or my head will explode.
Maybe when September rolls around the darkness might lift a bit, or maybe I'll just wait until December to see ifs worth investing in this season. All I know is I have a lot more time on my hands these days, and I'm not sure I'm putting it to good use. I hope all of you are well.
Enough! You need to take a long break from posting on this forum. Please take a hint from all the negative feedback you're getting from other members. Sheesh -- 321 posts, 378 disagrees/dislikes. That must be some sort of record.Belichick would've given an answer not much different. He just avoided giving an answer, just differently than "we're on to next year."
68,000 fans at the game booing him is the same financial return as 68,000 fans at the game. Unless it hits his hip pocket, what us little lemmings think of Kraft will not make one difference (unfortunately). Will Kraft be surprised when 68000 fans are booing him?
For some reason I'm thinking that the old sellout is so delusional that he believes that Patriots fans are stupid enough to actually buy his nonsense
