Gronk & Papi ... What's Worse Than Bad - Awful - Horrible?

I think Gronk is far brighter than his public persona portrays him as being. I'm not suggesting he's a MENSA candidate, but I think he's more than the meathead role he so willingly, and effectively, plays.

You cannot be an idiot and learn the route trees of our offense as well as he has. Ochocinco....

Yup, and, honestly, I don't think Chad was a dope either. I just think he was so used to free-lancing his routes and blowing his time diddling around with Twitter, etc. that he just didn't have the experience with structure or self-discipline to learn them.

Note: I have not watched that video.

But all I can say is this: GRONK is a man-child, in the best possible sense of the term.

He doesn't have a malicious bone in his body (think how pissed off he had to be for him to throw Sergio Brown out of the club).

And, BTW, you know that party bus that people have joked about? One of the reasons he bought it was to make sure his friends and family (and he himself, occasionally) didn't have to worry about DUIs.

I have no problems at all with him making a fool of himself (and maybe disturbing us with horrible singing) if he's going to do all the necessary things off the field.

Yea i agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with how Gronkowski is living his life.. Hes a young kid that likes to unwind and enjoy himself during the OFFSEASON. When the season starts, hes all business and handles his profession better than anyone in the entire league.

I still remember that thread 2 years ago where people were hammering on Gronk, saying how we should trade him off the team because he was an irresponsible partier (at like 22 or 23 years old lol!) and used Hernandez as an example of a mature individual because he had a fiance and a kid.

These guys live and breath football 24/7 during the season, and barely have any time to even spend with their families etc... so when the season ends, Gronk parties HARD, because thats the only chance he gets each year and you're only young once.. Im sure he'll eventually settle down, but until then hes having the time of his life and living his dream..

How can you possibly hate on that?

It was a light hearted dunks commercial with two grown men singing. Fail to see anything wrong with it

For Dunkin Donuts it seems to be a step up from the David Hasseldorf era... that campaign was interesting as the signs kept on getting stolen..

They said they were stolen for college dorm rooms, but my thought was the "cougars" were probably the culprits..

Two steps up from "Time to make the coffee"...

Well, after watching that I know what I'll be singing in my head all day.

Lmao, this is great... It's so stupid it's awesome... Gronk is quickly becoming a New England legend

I think it's brilliant. Awesomely, awfully brilliant, and great marketing. I can't wait for the other songs.

@jeffphowe: True story: Once Gronk completed ACL rehab in '14, immediately went to Pats community affairs office, asked to help https://t.co/4hQH5lxBcj

@jeffphowe: Gronk has been called a "dream player" by the Patriots' community affairs program. He's more involved than most of us realize.

Gronk, proof that brains aren't everything.
"If you do something good but don't let the world know about it, what's the point?" - America in 2015

I've watched that clip about 500 times and every time I think, he's not going to make it back across the goal line, but he does. It almost makes watching that Gronk-Papi thing worth it.

Btw does anyone know what's become of Patsfanken? He hasn't posted in forever.

Don't worry, he does that from time to time. The guys is all football - - not much of an interest in all the sideshow stuff. He'll be front and center with his awesome insight when the whistle blows.

DO understand, that Hasselhof campaign was NATIONAL.

The Papi-Gronk campaign doesn't make it out of the 6 states.

Well, if you MUST know, why not ask his moms? Here's her Facebook page...

Had no idea, still have difficulty comprehending that Dunkin Donuts is no longer regional..

Without regard, did not understand the Hasseldorf popularity stuff..

For my part, I didn't comprehend until fairly recently that DD was once a NE phenomenon. It's pretty much always been a fact of my outside-the-region life.

Well, it was a natural for Dunkin Donuts to employ a connoisseur of haute cuisine for their advertising campaigns:
