Car registered to spikes found on highway after crash

Wow are we quick to jump to conclusions.

It doesn't look great the way it's reported, but let's at least wait to find out if Spikes was even in the car. We were so happy to bring Spikes back yet so quick to assume he committed some nefarious act...

I wish I could have liked and agreed with this post.

Let's wait and see if Spikes was involved beyond it just being his car. How many cars are registered to him?

I know he had a Porsche in 2013, from when he was stuck in the snow tweeting pictures and "help!"

REPORT: Car Belonging To Patriots LB Spikes Found Abandoned, Investigation Ongoing

Ian Logue

Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes talked recently about the fact he was glad to be back in New England, but his future may potentially be up in the air following a report on Sunday that may find him in some trouble.

Speak for yourself, I was on the fence about this signing.

I read the article. I don't believe in wild coincidences. This will be very easy for the police to resolve. Does not look good.
Too bad as I was glad to welcome Spikes back. Bummer.

Yeah this is my inclination as well. Getting rear-ended by a car in a hit and run and then someone mysteriously 'hits a deer' and abandons the car a little ways off after claiming to have hit a deer seems super suspicious. I think they can do some pretty easy car forensics or whatever and find out the truth of the matter.

If he did a hit and run on people who had to go to the hospital he's a scumbag and I won't mind him being cut at all.

1) Never trust "what is being reported". Always be skeptical of media (has Spy and Deflate gates taught you nothing?).
2) If Spikes was involved in an accident, even a fender bender, and fled the scene of the crash, no need to concern yourself any further with Spikes. He will soon become, once again, a former Patriot.

For years, there has been a push to fine/punish teams for player incidents of this manner. It never goes anywhere. But now that the team is us, here come the articles and public perceptions that run Goodell's conscience.

Annnnnd there goes Spikes

Solid run stuffing 2 down LB, but far from a lock to even make the team if one/both HT and Mayo return to health. Either way, it was a smart choice to bring him on as cheap insurance.

We now have five decent LBs at a position that we regularly use two, and that's not even including rookies or no-names who may contribute as wedge blockers on ST.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Spikes cut in the next 24-48 hours. I mean who abandons a $300K car other than a classmate of Aaron Hernandez.

Forensics will be able to tell if he struck a deer or another car. If they find no evidence of deer hair/blood on his car then he is in trouble.

I wouldn't worry to much, Spikes went to Florida, so his car was likely equipped with videos surveillance equipment that will incriminate him.

The Pouncey twins are having their free Spikes hats made up now.

Thumpergate.

Reports hitting a deer but when the law shows up he is nowhere to be found....hmmmmmm

What was he doing...hunting the deer so he could give him first aid ???

My first guess is the front end of his Mercedes has no deer fur or blood stuck on it.....

If he lent it to someone, the police would have heard by now.

Buy Bye Brandon....we hardly knew ya :(
