Re watching the Ravens and SB game..

Yup at the end of the day the Patriots are still the CHAMPS and their teams still blow. I laugh in the face of any hater that brings up "cheating" and just call them pathetic. Shuts them up REAL quick.
Yeah I'm not trading places with any of them I know that for sure

It wasn't a ticky tack foul. Revis clearly held Steve Smith enough after he skooled Revis. If you watch that play you'll see that's the reason Flacco holds on to the ball, and the reason the sack strip fumble recovery takes place. It's a first down if Revis doesn't grab Steve Smith.

Regardless Jamie Collins is so bad ass! I love it how he doesn't rush always. When he does....uh oh....! :D

Thanks for the correction. I guess I'm so used to Gronk getting manhandled that I think of most penalties against the Pats defense as ticky tack.

I watched the SB again. The Pats still won and here's what I liked this time;
- Brady hit 9 of his first 10 passes.
- For those Pats fans worried about our CB's, the first Brady INT was because of the rush. So don't worry.
- Seattle's D (the best in the NFL by far according to the announcer) was totally confused and running into each other. They talked a great game though.
- Gronk holding the ball up on his TD pass is a great example of the little things that make a difference.
- I noticed that the first half replay had 280,000 hits and the second half had 1,500,ooo.
- Seattle was talking MVP during the game. Too bad they lost.
- There was a play where Brady took a legal hard hit as he released a pass, and he jumped back up and went to congratulate the player on a good hit. It looked like the ref was worried that Brady was upset and went over to him to keep them apart.
- Everyone seems to forget about Brady's ability to bring his team back, even our own fans and announcers.
- Oh Danny Boy (I don't recall ever typing those words for any reason)
- Brady on Seattle's last drive: The D's gonna get an interception.
- Watching Belichamp just moments before the greatest defensive play in NFL history, you could see him close his eyes for a second as if to say, don't let this happen again. It didn't.
- I especially enjoyed Brady ignoring **** Sherman at the end, at least for a few seconds.
- Brady is much bigger than most QB's he plays against. And he's clearly better than all of them.

As much as Collingsworth and Michaels get criticized for their anti-Patriots calling of the game, "and the pass is...INTERCEPTED" will live on in my head forever. That moment of the Butler pick still gives me chills and jebus willing will till the day I die.

Agreed! Infamous INTERCEPTED call will forever be tattooed in our minds. Seeing Brady Jumpin, doin a 360 was/is Priceless.

That sums it up pretty much perfectly. Where I work, one of the owner's son is a Packers fan and whenever he loves to chirp about the "illegal formations", etc, etc, I love to bring up Rodgers liking his balls overinflated, and of course "that doesn't matter", "Pats are cheaters", etc, etc. I've gotten to the point where you want to crap on my team, I will crap on your team and then some.

Nailed It! Great observations. True every time I watch it again you can see how different scenarios materialize. Just little things that could loom big like on first drive when there was running into our punter, rule says that its an automatic 15 yds/1st down hitting non kicking leg. But it was called 5 yds 4th down. That drive could have scored a TD or FG. Yeah people can say well we could have fumbled or got INT'ed but same could be said for giving Lynch ball final seconds. Everyone just ASSumes that it was lock that Lynch was goin to score and it might have been right call but who is to say he gets in. We've seen crazier things happen. Butler made an outstanding play, PLAY of 'game' year' his life!

One of the coolest things about the end of that game is neither side was panicking when things were going wrong. Patriots were calm and cool down 10 points and when Seahawks gave up back to back touchdowns they were confident they were going to win too. Both very well coached teams, it's no wonder they were in the Super Bowl.

I think it came down to the Seattle attitude of this is what we do and you stop it. The Pats beat them because they were ready for their simpler, more predictable, offense and defense. And Tommy LomBrady of course.

The Pats fooled them because they were ready. They dominated everywhere but on the scoreboard.

Nobody can stop them as long as they have Brady. He's the best at crunch time.

I do agree Gronk gets held a little more. The non call on the 3rd down for holding/PI was a bad call and even some Ravens fans admitted that. The Revis penalty was just an easy call with the way Smith's body turned when Revis grabbed him. Revis had bad PI calls against him in that game as well. A total joke but Jump Ball Joe knows that so he just throws it up in the air and gets his PI. He's #1 in drawing a PI.

Although I agree with you that I thought it's a 15 yarder if you hit the plant leg but there's precedent for that not being true in the very same 2014 playoffs. I believe it was the Lions-Cowboys game. I can't remember who was punting but the rusher hit the punters plant leg and only got 5 yard penalty as well. So now I'm really confused about that rule. If I remember correctly the commentators in that game thought it would be 15 yards as well for hitting the plant let.

It's so stupid how everyone assumes Lynch would have ran it in after he got 4 yards on the 1st down. Like Pete Carroll said, "They went goal-line personnel". That means the Patriots put two more big guys in there. The Seahawks didn't put any more bigger guys. In fact, the Seahawks actually removed a big guy(full back) for a smaller receiver. A smaller receiver that got decleated by a CB going for the ball at full speed!

Pats 1st down personnel:
Ninkovich-Wilfork-Siliga-Chandler Jones-Ayers
Collins-Hightower
Browner-Revis-McCourty-Chung

Seahawks had 21 personnel on the field(RB, FB, TE, 2 WR's)

2nd down play Pats personnel:
Ninkovich-Jones-Branch-Siliga-Wilfork-Jones
Hightower-Collins
Butler-Browner-Revis

Seahawks had 11 personnel on the field(RB, TE, 3 WR's)

And people think Lynch is going to be able to run it in? Sure it's possible, but guaranteed? Lol what a freaking joke!

I was at the Ravens game and i remember sitting there saying to myself...not again....

But once Edelman hit that pass...i had a great feeling

Belichick's ability to process the time left on the game clock, the play clock and the Seahawks timeout situation at the end is just phenomenal. While most of us were wondering when the hell he was going to call a timeout, he knew that's exactly what Seattle wanted. Patriots call timeout there and every play is a run, and Lynch is your MVP.

Roughing the kicker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the NFL, a defensive player commits a "roughing the kicker" foul if he (a) contacts the plant leg of the kicker while his kicking leg is still in the air; or (b) slides into or contacts the kicker when both of the kicker’s feet are on the ground. It is not a foul if the contact is not severe, or if the kicker returns both feet to the ground prior to the contact and falls over a defender who is on the ground. [2]
The penalty for such a violation in most leagues is 15 yards and an automatic first down.

Exactly! Kudos to BB for havin presense of mind to adjust on fly putting Butler in, in a situation that Butler got beat in practice by Garrapolo and jumped route not to down play Browner not gettin picked. BANG BANG Play!

Guess its safe to say BB's job isn't in jeopardy with all so called 'experts'

I do agree Belichick has a great sense whether to call timeout or not but the people wondering whether they should let the Seahawks score or not I do not understand. The Giants could win with just a field goal. That's why they let them score. The Seahawks needed to score a TD which is a lot harder than a chip shot field goal.

And Seahawks were burning timeouts not gettin up to line in time costing them time management. Clock was dwindlin down BB didn't call a timeout I think there was like under 30 secs remainin forcing 'Hawks to make a move endzone. Brady would have been under'da gun to drive'm down with little time on clock.

Statistically, it was no given; he was only 1 for 5 from the 1 all season.

It's funny, but I remember arguing with Jest fans when Mevis was pulling that shoulder grab/push against our receivers. It's very effective and harder to spot if done quickly.

I'm not sure that the PI calls are all about Flacco. It looks and sounds like Ravens players are taught how to draw penalties. The PI call on Browner, which was refused on the TD catch, is a great example. The receiver caused that contact more than Browner did.

I fully expect to see Baltimore again. They will be better next year. That should be the AFFCG if I was to bet right now.
